Casaya Executes Miserable Melinda

melindaWith the exception of Cirie, the Casaya crowd turned into Pigs of the highest order within milli-seconds of being a new tribe. Urgh -  Melinda making herself such a victim and then dragging Cirie into her cess-pit of negativity and persecution was sooo slapworthy I was thrilled when she left.

She judged everyone, isolated herself, clung to Cirie and ultimately deserved what she got.  It was ridiculous how she went on about the world being most unfair on her and that there was nothing she could do about it. Those looks she kept giving everyone were just too much.

Not that there wasn’t anything for her to be iffy about of course. The way Shady Shane used his Psycho Boy self to manipulate everyone into thinking he’s so important was incredible. First he made the alliance of four, then he babied on about wanting to leave and by the time he said he wanted to stay he had the rest them doing his dirty work.

All this was revealed about the core of Casaya through what was a ripping episode from the start. After a storm-filled night featuring a wind-swept tree that almost knocked Shane out, the four tribes each tried to organise food.

The Older Women tried to make a fire, the Younger Women found a mango thing and ate it with eye-popping flea-bitten arms and Shane went mad and screamed at God.

Everyone went to what they thought was their Reward Challenge where Jeffsipoo told them they were becoming two tribes. Danielle and Terry had to start the choosing process that resulted in these tribes:

Casaya: Danielle, Shane, Courtney, Aras, Cirie, Bobby and Melinda
La Mina: Terry, Sally, Austen, Misty (aka Exile island), Nick, Ruth-Marie and Dan.

Melinda was chosen third-last, Dan second-last (‘cos he’s so creepy looking) and Bruce was left out completely because he’s a samurai. It was crazy how obvious it was that they left him out because of his being from a different culture. Luckily for him he got the best deal and escaped them by going to Exile Island while securing himself Immunity.

He ooh’ed about it as he went tripsing off feeling proud of himself and the rest of them carried wooden snakes through murky watered, leg-breaking obstacles in their Reward Challenge . Their wild smashing and tripping was hysterical - like when Cirie rammed into Bobby’s head and Shane’s twisted body slipped through the bars.

In contrast La Mina raced an effortless sprint and won themselves fishing equipment which they lost immediately when Sally Socks sunk their spear. I’ve never seen a pair of socks suit a person as much as hers suit her, except I don’t understand how she can get them so wet and not have a freak-out with them against her legs.

Her losing the spear was ridiculous but Nick was worse - what was he doing just vegging there looking at his stupid feet? If you ask me he’s a mega loser who’s face I can’t remember when I’m not seeing it and just don’t see how I ever will.

I was very irritated with Terry when he invited him and Austen into his alliance with Moon Boy - he should way rather have invited the girls.

Over at Casaya a foursome bonding session of a different kind happened between Shane, Aras, Danielle and Courtney who decided they’re going to be the final four. They all seem so utterly untrustworthy and yet they genuinely seem to trust each other. This must be what unites them?

The best was that through all this Bruce spent his exiled time doing cool Uma-Thurman-in-Killing-Bill moves in preparation for some super vengeance against them.

With the first alliances in place everyone met up for a Zombi head Immunity Challenge where they had to row leaky boats while pulling an insane anchor along the bottom of the ocean. Casaya spent copious amounts of time floating backwards, La Mina beat them in a fierce victory and I was very pleased when they did.

Even though the Boy Alliance sucks and Nick’s a no name, I like them individually. There’s an interesting something about each of them and none of them have revealed themselves to be as nasty as the majority in Casaya have. Yet.

While they went off to celebrate, Casaya’s true devilry came out when Shane decided he didn’t want to leave and him, Aras, and Courtney told Melinda and Cirie they were deciding who of them would get voted out and didn’t care which it was.

They were so unbelievably horrible when they did it it really cut like a knife. They were like cruel soldiers telling people from a country they’d conquered that they could choose which loved one they wanted to see shot in front of them.

It was hectic - it’s only six days in and already they’re deeply into their Lord Of The Rings inhumanity.  The only one of them to be kinda okay was Danielle, when she gave snivelling Melinda a hug.

I don’t think that what Cirie had to say about her family needing her to be there had any kind of impact on their decision at Tribal Council. They pretended it did but I reckon they were planning on whacking Melinda first anyway so it turned out conveniently for them.

There was something very different between how Cirie said she was determined to stay versus how Melinda said it wasn’t there? With Cirie you just know she believes she deserves to be there as much as them whereas with Melinda she wanted to believe it but didn’t really.

I think it’s why she got so anti them as well - Cirie didn’t judge who they were by making snide comments about how different they were from her. All she said was that she was human too, which really highlighted the extent of their Pigdom.

I’m hoping that this alliance they’ve got going doesn’t just play out across episodes and that she somehow manages to avoid the fate they’ve bullied her into.

It’s a strinickity situation - I want La Mina to keep kicking their butts but for her sake I want Casaya to win. Hopefully Bruce’s arrival on the tribe will shake  things up next week.

PS: I generally forgot that Bobby exists.
