Monday night’s real hero is NBC’s new drama hit, Heroes, it’s the only show of the new season to be a solid hit and the show keeps growing each week in demographics and viewership entitles the show to save the title of “Biggest Winner”!
Biggest Loser:
Girlfriends (The CW)
Compared it’s lead in and it’s year ago numbers, Girlfriends, along with the entire The CW Monday Night is down. However Girlfriends is feeling it with the decline in viewers this week.

-Ratings Breakdown:
CBS and NBC shared leadership on this typically competitive Monday, with CBS first in total viewers (just 100,000 more than NBC) and NBC No. 1 among adults 18-49. ABC and Fox shared the No. 3 and 4 spots, while cellar-dweller the CW remained in the distant No. 5 spot.
It was no contest at 8 p.m., with NBC favorite Deal or No Deal at a dominant (and season-high) 16.73 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/13 share among adults 18-49. Comparably, that was improvement over year-ago occupant Surface (Viewers: 9.38 million; A18-49: 3.0/ 8 on Nov. 21, 2005) of a hefty 7.35 million viewers and 63 percent among adults 18-49. Deal or No Deal also bested the No. 2 time period occupant, Fox’s Prison Break (Viewers: 9.57 million; A18-49: 4.0/10), by 7.16 million viewers and 22 percent among adults 18-49.
Elsewhere, repeat holiday specials on ABC -- A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (Viewers: #3, 9.37 million; A18-49: #4, 3.1/ 8) and He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown (Viewers: #3, 9.53 million; A18-49: #3, 3.3/ 8) --performed at levels close to CBS comedies How I Met Your Mother (Viewers: #4, 8.94 million; A18-49: #3, 3.2/ 9) and The Class (Viewers: #4, 8.32 million; A18-49: #4, 2.9/ 7).
CW sitcoms Everybody Hates Chris (Viewers: 3.38 million; A18-49: 1.3/ 4), which remains down by double-digit percentages from it’s year-ago Thursday performance, and All of Us (Viewers: 3.00 million; A18-49: 1.2/ 3) capped off the hour.
At 9 p.m., the real hero in the hour remains NBC’s Heroes, with 15.99 million viewers and a 6.9/16 among adults 18-49. Second were CBS comedies Two and a Half Men (Viewers: 15.28 million; A18-49: 4.7/11) and The New Adventures of Old Christine (Viewers: 11.67 million; A18-49: 3.8/ 9), followed by a repeat of Fox’s House (Viewers: 8.42 million; A18-49: 3.0/ 7), the Women Tell All edition of ABC’s goofy The Bachelor: Rome (Viewers: 7.44 million; A18-49: 2.7/ 6), and the CW’s Girlfriends (Viewers: 2.79 million; A18-49: 1.2/ 3), which has sprung a leak, and The Game (Viewers: 2.40 million; A18-49: 1.1/ 3). Comparatively, Girlfriends was down by 1.04 million viewers and 35 percent from it’s year-ago performance (Viewers: 3.83 million; A18-49: 1.7/ 4.
At 10 p.m., the pecking order remained the same, with CBS’ CIS: Miami a solid first (Viewers: 18.23 million; A18-49: 5.9/15), followed by NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (Viewers: 7.31 million; A18-49: 3.1/ 8) and ABC’s What About Brian (Viewers: 5.35 million; A18-49: 2.4/ 6). Despite the challenging ratings, both Studio 60 and What About Brian were renewed for the full season.
