WHY DURBAN ROCKS

I normally here a lot of people saying they want to leave their home towns for the glitz and glamour of Jo-burg or Cape Town or other foreign countries. I alwayz ask myself why would i wanna leave such a buetiful city like Durban and go to a deserted city like Jo-burg. Eeish i-dry leyandawo bo, i wonder how people can stay in such a place but anyway i guess sebejwayele.

Since Sponono has said i have potrayed a picture that Durbs is a Sodoma and Gommora i felt that i needed to do justice to the town and show that not only do we have Delila's in Durbs but we also ooze STYLE, UBUMNANDI, CELEBRITIES, DANCE MOVES, OUT OF THIS WORLD HAIRSTYLE etc. Phela basho oT'zozo bathi umufun' ubumnandi woz' eDurban!!!!

BELOW ARE MY REASON WHY I LOVE DURBS:

1. THE BEACH------EVER SEEN ANYTHING THIS BEAUTIFUL??? YOU CANNOT MENTION DURB'S AND FORGET TO MENTION THE SEA, OH JOZI PEOPLE, HOW DO YOU LIVE WITHOUT HAVING THIS???

2. WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD DO YOU GET TO RIDE IN THIS!!!IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN DURB'S AND NEVER RIDE ONE OF THESE THEN YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR TRAVEL AGENT!!

3. DURBS HAVE THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT LIFE. WHERELSE WOULD YOU FIND A SKYBARR, BASSLINE (MAYBE IN CT), HAVANA MUSIC LOUNGE, EXCLUSIVE LOUNGE, PANAMA ROOM. EISH I-SPACE SINCANE BUT YA...GET MY DRIFT???

this is Kgolo, the man of the moment in Durbs these days. He owns Skyybar, if you want contact details guys....call me! But let me warn you, he does not take off his glasses, ANYWHERE....I mean they are like stuck in his face....(COULDNT GET A PIC OF SKYYBAR)

4. THEN WE COME TO LIGHTER THINGS WHERELSE CAN YOU FIND THIS KIND OF  HAIRSTYLE? DURBS!

5. TELL ME, WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU FIND A DANCE CALLED ISITABANE? DURBS!!!

WHAT ABOUT THESE HOT DJ'S

1.
Durban's First Lady of House!!!!Ayeye use-Bassline!

DJ Bongs....Iyo! thina sobabili! "Noma ungahamba, sobuye sbonane!!(Only Durbanites will know what i mean.....hihihi

It seems like people really enjoyed this feature. It really is so amazing ukuthi not a single person who is not from Durbs has responded. Aniway kuthiwa into enhle ayidingi ukoniwa. You know I lyk being in PMB but to tell u da truth kuMnandi eThekwini.

I am also the kind that does not dig Jozi at all. I feel impilo yakhona is too artificial (That is my opinion) kanti in Durbs we shame what our mothers gave us. we implement dances, we have good artists and soccer player and we even have simple things lyk iBunny chow. Aaay maan Durbs uyahlanyisa.

DJ Fresh and Glenzinto and the rest of the big name Dj's have testified to the fact that DURBAN Rocks...apparently Durbanites dance ike they own the song..hi hi hi
well its a little late in the day so bloggers will be back to either diss durban or give it  thumbs-up ..dont warri Mshumah I know a lot of Goli peeps who'd love to come and stay in Durbs

@Mshumah>>>>>>>Its ok to glorify indawo yakini but to say i life yase jozi is artificial. NO.  There are good and bad things about any place. As for i Bunny chow there is a little india shop in down town jozi (ngase home affairs ese duze ne john foster) that sells the best bunny chow I've ever tasted and I bet you if you go to Bloemfontein, Cape Town or anywhere else you will find a place that sells bunny chow.  So the bunny chow example was far fetched

Yah I have heard that Durbs rocks. but mina i will give yah why tshwane rocks...!
- The sun sets in the morning and shines in the night in Sunnyside hi i hi hi.
- There are parties or where it rocks each and everyday...!
-  Beer e chipile..
-  You wanna chill you can go to menlyn or centurion mall.
- The people are so friendly that we speak the same language sePitoriand sihlanya sonke..
- Our music rocks but not recognised by the SAMA or metro judges which makes it simple fo people not to Copy andall of a sudden there are fights in he media.
- You go to joburg , CPT or durban...bana le magents ba hlanya cause of your accent ehehehe.
- We dont have a beach so the only way to get really wet and relaxed its with alcohol hih hihi hih i.

Durban has ....plenty of other places/things to do visit...besides hot-clubs-
there's Pavilion....there's Gateway...there's Masdrave-students hangout-(oqhayilahle abafundi they just go buy ne draft for three hours just to be seen..LOL)
there's USHAKA MArine...-Which i dint realise is such a gem to explore.and with the point development going on that area is gonna be our Beverly Hills  just watch...in fact  a close contact told me that thats what they want it to be like....(but I also get the feeling its gonna be like CapeTown expensive)
we also have lottsa of flea-markets for bargains...and NOT TO mention the ICC and its Arena...(although i wasnt blown away by that venue..at least its had some big names...) and of course the international events held at ICC instead of other provinces

we also have some of the best designers who for some stupid reason have gone to Jozi yet they want to be recognized when durban hits the spotlight....like now during the 2010 prepeartion hype.....mmmncm f*ckers!!!nxx

and then there's our house parties to go to...

sponono
22 Nov 2007 08:28

i meant oqhwayilahle the'd go to musgrave and but One draft for the next three hours...no wonder some joints in morningside are a bit uncomfortable about allowing lots of muntus coz they dont wanna spend.....hi hi hi(i know some spoiled brats are screaming NOOOOOO mea I buy lotss..whateva!!!amastudents awathengi nje qha

DBN does rock, we live our lives there, one gets stuck in this gauteng and there are days when you wish you were home so you could go the the beach or the the botanical gardes.

and we miss going to Musgrave centre where is not busy and you can do your shopping relaxed and no celebrity wannabees who will want to own the mall.

and how many celebrities are from DBN agcwele khona lana egoli, actually gauteng is made by durbanites
