Based on characters from the Stephen King novel, Deadzone stars Anthony Michael Hall as Johnny Smith, a man injured in a near-fatal car crash who awakens from a six-year-long coma with extraordinary psychic abilities. These powers allow him to see into the past and future through visions triggered by touch, which he is compelled to act upon in order to help others.

In episodes ranging from high-stakes adventures to political thrillers, Johnny tests the potential and the limits of his psychic gifts while struggling to deal with a recurring vision of the future which lies at the heart of the series - a terrifying glimpse of Armageddon.

This red-baiting action film stars Chuck Norris as Matt Hunter, a retired CIA agent who lives in the Florida Everglades. A communist invasion of Miami brings Hunter out of retirement to fight the encroaching hordes led by everyone's favourite low-budget bad guy, Richard Lynch.

Carlita's Secret

Eva Longoria stars in this steamy thriller about a woman on the run from both the police and herself. Carlita (Longoria) is a young woman who dreams of becoming a star as a dancer, but her life is unexpectedly turned upside down one evening when she visits a nightclub in Miami. Gunfire breaks out, and when the smoke clears, one person is dead and Carlita has been accused of the crime.

Carlita is innocent but isn't sure how to prove it, and she goes underground, changing her name to stay one step ahead of the law. Ironically, under her new alias, Carlita finally gets a break as a performer in South Beach, but the crime that changed her life still hangs over her head.

Tie That Binds

Moria Kelley and Dana Clifton are a successful but childless yuppie couple who adopt a mesmerizing young girl named Janie (Julian Devin). Janie has suicidal tendencies and sometimes cuts herself. She also has psychotic parents, John and Leann Netherwood who are also crooks. The Netherwoods are forced to give up their daughter, but once released from jail, they are intent on getting her back. They kill an adoption agency worker and a police officer as part of their vendetta, terrorizing the suburban town as they target the Cliftons in their all-out war for the return of Janie.

Jason Lyric

This drama, set in a gritty part of Houston's outskirts, pits brother against brother as the two men try to cope with their childhood family tragedy. Jason and Joshua are opposites. Jason, an ambitious young TV salesman, is the straight arrow. Joshua, an aimless coke-head and frequently jailed petty criminal, is the black sheep. Their father, Maddog was a bitter and maimed Vietnam vet with a penchant for battering his wife, Gloria. To protect herself and her sons from Maddog, she throws him out of the house. In the ensuing fight one of the brothers fatally shoots Maddog. Jason is in love with Lyric, a feisty waitress. As he courts her, his brother Josh plans a bank robbery with his gang. In the end both brothers must face their past and do so in a violent shoot-out.

One False Move

After an "LA drugs deal" leads to blood and carnage, the perpetrators end up in small town Arkansas where the leader Ray contacts his ex-girlfriend.. Assuming that the local will offer them little interference, the criminals have not reckoned with sheriff "Hurricane" Dixon (Bill Paxton). Despite the arrogance of the LAPD agents sent to Arkansas to collar the crooks, it is down-home Dixon who puts the final bloody showdown into motion. One False Move was one of the most acclaimed independent releases of 1991.

A hitman (John Turturro) heeds a spiritualist's prophesies that he will rise to the head of his family. He starts his ascension by clandestinely executing the heads of the family and casting the blame on others. However, with power come consequences that are also predicted by the seer.

The Accused

Based on a real-life 1983 incident, The Accused tells the story of Sarah Tobias (Jodie Foster), a working-class party girl who likes to live it up with her friends and flirt hard with the guys. After a fight with her boyfriend, she heads to a local bar to cool down - and after a few drinks, plus some dancing and flirting, she finds herself thrown on top of a pinball machine and gang-raped by a bunch of locals, while others watch and cheer the proceedings. District attorney Kathryn Murphy (Kelly McGillis) takes Sarah's case but quickly negotiates a plea bargain in which the attackers' charges are reduced to reckless endangerment. Her reason: defence attorneys could use Sarah's not-so-pretty past to paint her as "asking for it," getting their clients off completely. But a stunned Sarah accuses Murphy of selling her out, and when the lawyer sees how the incident continues to destroy Sarah's life, she decides she must seek true justice. This time, she goes after the crowd of onlookers for "criminal solicitation" - those who were egging the rapists on. Foster won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance

Colonel Braddock, who escaped from a POW camp after 10 years, returns to Vietnam. He attempts to track down the location of a POW camp and rescue the prisoners to prove that several MIAs are still alive and being held captive. He is prompted to attempt his mission because of Government denials about the possibilities of existing POWs.

Missing In Action 2

Prequel to the first Missing In Action, set in the early 1980s it shows the capture of Colonel Braddock during the Vietnam war in the 1970s, and his captivity with other American POWs in a brutal prison camp, and his plans to escape.

The camp is governed by the crazed Colonel Yin (Soon-Teck Oh), who forces the POW's to grow opium for French drug runners and tries to get them to admit to and sign a long list of war crimes. Braddock must escape the camp and liberate his fellow prisoners to have any hope of surviving.
