Taxi commuters are a headache!!!

This week i was forced to take a taxi to work because my car had to go for repairs. I dont know maybe i got irritated because its been more than a year since i was last on a taxi. It just so happened that when i get to the taxi rank , i see the similar people i used to catch a taxi to work with a year ago (i dont know when they are going to buy cars). That just made me think that there are a lot of irritating things people do in the taxis that just make one wanna scream MURDER!!!

Here are a few irritating things i encountered this week:

1. Anyone ever noticed that taxi commuters do not have a problem to just open i-Kentucky noma umgxabhiso in a taxi and dig as if its no body's business? I-Kentuck iyonuka e-taxini.

2. Than there is this fellow, when he gets to a taxi he opens both windows from his side and the other side. Just imagine that you have just done your hair, when you ask him to close the window, he replies "This is a free country, go and sit somewhere else" and then you think "sit somewhere else the taxi is already full you idiot!!!!

3. Then you get those people who love to sit in front but who do not know how to count money (if there is no scabha bhoyi). You ask for your change, umuntu avele akubhavumukele athi "Awukho ushintshi" with an irritating voice than you think this exact person will be sitting at the back tomorrow, how will it feel to him when i say the same thing?hhhhmmmm

4.Then you get those sistaz who do not wanna make space for someone else to sit, especially if the taxi is the 4 4 one. You ask her nicely "please can you move a bit so i can be able to sit?" They normally dont reply, but bakuklonyoloza uze ubone ukuthi hhabe kanti eyakini yini le-taxi.

5. What about those people who loves to talk in a taxi, umuntu wakhona afune kulalelwe yena. He will brag and brag and normally he doesnt talk about anything else except ukuqoma kwezingane, imfebo yamantombazane, ukugcola komhlaba, you know those topics nje. Most you find those people do not know how to discipline their own children and they busy preaching in taxis.

So what's the worst you have encountered in a taxi? Im happy im getting my car back tommorrow.

msoe ukhalela amahhala!!!

i took a taxi to vryheid this other time(amongst other times) and this woman had a toddler with her. i don't like whiny kids nje but this one!! talk about brat.

she ate from durban station to eshowe which is abt 2 hours. she ate it all: kfc, chease naks, smoked beef -frimax aphuze i tropika. we get to eshowe and its a 10 minute stop she buys this child a pie.

i 4got to mention that this was december, the hottest time of the year and worse in that part of the province. anyway we get back in the taxi and child eats on. there are these bends in Ndundulu where you actually feel your tummy hopping on the road cos they're sharp. what does this child sitting on her mothers lap next to me go and do? yep =she threw up all over me her entire 10 course meal was on the outfit my boyfiend was gonna see me in for the first time in 5 months. i was ready for murder!

the stupid cow has the audacity to say sorry sisi nawe kodwa uyazazi izingane MY GAWD!!!! sadly i'm still a commuter so i avoid going home to vryheid by taxi like the plague!! i have others but this i had to share!!

Yazi I have used the train, the bus and the taxi, but i tell you even though the taxi drivers (some of them) are the worst drivers, a journey with the taxi is the best out of the 3. My brother is a taxi driver so for me even going to the eastern cape i have to use his taxi. I taught myself to always look at teh positives to every situation. Taxis have a home-like warmth. There is always that big-mamma who speaks non-stop (always reminding you of your own mother). The old man always complaining about the way kids are nowaday (not too different from ut dad/ grandda is he now). That boetie who sits next to you smelling of gister's booze trying to act all cutie (there's one thing ka yena that makes u think of your not-so-fabourite cousin, ex boyfriend or your sisters abusive boyfriend). Then there are those Model C kids, you hate them as much as you love them. (even though they might anger you for deserting their beautiful mother toungue, but they alwyas make you miss your good old school days, the way they are neatly dressed in school uniform and how the way everything is new to them (i,e. technology) but they act as if they know everything. And you think the driver is sweeter than the one in the blue taxi, but wait ubtil his money is R2 short. If he is Xhosa all the Q'S that will come out of his mouth.
all in all a journey by taxi does have its negatives, but i find the positives more enlightening and make me wanna booze away my savings for my car.

Hello ma-bloggers! I've recently bought a one roomed flat, I have never owned a car.Since my varsity days I've always told myself that there's no way I'm paying someone else's bond for more than 2 years. (meaning Trafalgar rent)

Each to his own I suppose! My point is this - I am still gonna use the taxi for a couple more years. I'm happy with the arrangement, crying babies and all!

usisi next to me starts eating umbona(mielies), especially when it's cold and all the windows are closed...the smell

Well finally a taxi came and there was this guy, sitting at the back saying he can have any chick that he wants, and then he start chatting up this chick on the seat before him..... Then he says I have a job look I have got an access card how many people in this taxi have this.......That was so hilarious!!!

I LMFAO when i collect money. everyone sends their money forward,right. you give the driver his collective fare,distribute the change and then out of the blue someone didn't get their change and its your fault cause apparently you can't count. after telling my fellow passenger that i gave all the change back any further issues-take it up with the driver shame. then the driver comes to your defense and says "mina eyami imali iphelele ngakho u my sista akangene!!!" hihihihi!!

Heyyyy... oneday i took a taxi from Mowbray to town.... Kanti it was from Athlone. I tell you everyone in there had some kind of flu. Windows were shut and the only place available was right at the back.

It was so stuffy and everyone was coughing. i thought yerrrrrrrrr... by the time i get to town i'll be sick. Yhu.. i got off and took the next one.

my problem is NOT with commuters but the taxi drivers and rank-managers and rank "assistants"...when they let you get in one taxi and they start fighting about who was supposed to load...and they suddenly tell you to get off....you know it makes you feel like sardines or objects...eish......otherwise mina I find taking a taxi quite an adventure at times annoying sometimes but also has its fun times..and I find that people who "occasionally and rarely take taxis because they have cars" are the ones who complain most about them in fact if you compalin about communters you're actually complaining about the "community" as it is...ngoba phela abagibeli..yiwo umphakathi and they come in different shapes and forms..and that makes the journey very very interseting...(obvously NOt for someone who's thinking of their car...LOL....bloody snobs you...hi hi hi)

like when you have a commuter who's drunk and is just goin on about somethin or doenst wann pay ....

Let me tell you about my experience while i was at the Tertiary. I was using a train to and from school. One day i was feeling sick and you know trains di tlala byang. I pushed until i got a seat and i relaxed thinking that i'll rest a little bit. Bethuna ithe ma isuka i heard "PHANZI NGE ANC PHANZI". Kante ke mo le coachung la mzabalazo. Their boss lady said " Bonke a ba hleli phanzi sukumani". Mind you i was dizzy. I didt stand up i just sat down than they continued chantting. Hei wena i just heard "BOPHA". Then that boss lady came straight to me and asked me why i was not singing. I told her that i was sick. Then she continued "BRA MIKE SINE INKINGA LA" Bra Mikenyana wa teng a re "HINI" like a lion's roar. Boss lady Continued "USISI UTHI YENA UYA GULA" Bra Mike then said "SISI I COACH LELI LINA IMINYAGO EYI 2 AND 3 NGA MAFESTERE SO UZA KHETHA UKUTHI U PHUMA NGA MUPHI" I became sturborn and said i also bought a ticket like them. Hei ka e gata moseleng. Ka utlwa hothwe " MKHIPHENI" The train was moving that time. I never knew that i was a sprinter until that day. LOL
Everytime i think of that i laugh until i get stomach cramps.
That's the bad side of using public Transport. But i miss those moment sometimes. Sometimes i just leave my car and take a taxi.

I take a taxi evryday after work from brakpan to joburg (about 30-45minutes) trip, Ikhwapha, damn, two weeks ago, this guy came and sat infront of me, he then moved to close the window, Yhoooo, it was there was a dead rat in there, I had to spray my body spray on the jacket I had on and cover my nose, it was killing me, and this actually happens everyday, abantu don't wanna bath la nga phandle man SIES,,,,,,,, and when you try to oepn the window some1 will tell you that kungena u moya o bandayo.

I am busy right now cleaning the world for young people. That is: Drinking all the beer/alcohol that I can drink to make the streets safe for our young children so that they do not find any drink on the streets.
Join me in this noble calling and together we can make the world safe for our children to live in.
Join the search for beer/alcohol and when you find it please drink it, you will have prevented one child from abusing it.

Phela don’t forget just how fickle we humans can be. So whatever’s been said here today do let it slide. It’s got no bearing on who or what you are and it never will. Abantu will always have something to say depending on what views/beliefs/values/principles and the like. So ke gal, try and not take any offence people have their own baggage to bear and letting off some steam once in a while makes all the difference, it’s a pity though when that steam is let off at other people’s expense.

As for the NIA expose-I don’t c anything wrong with you stating that you wont be getting a car in the new year. Why would you get one if you already have one or maybe you were expecting to break this down and say “nope not getting new wheels this year coz I already have some”. Eish!! uZoba ryt mani and maybe next time you’re on a taxi (depending on how you’re feeling that day) something might bring a smile to your face and do share that with us as well.

So you all have said what you wanted to say, now its my turn. I dont even know why i am waisting my time and energy on people like you but since i bealive in defending myself whenever i can than i will do it. I remember saying i cannot get a car next year, that doesnt mean i do not have one, i would have loved to change my mazda but i have a bond to pay for my OWN house.

I cannot feel bad about what i have because i do have it and not even one person in this site can take it away from me except of course God, which none of you is by the way.

The only point i wanted to put across in this article was that people say what are the irritating things they have encountered in a taxi thats all. But people chose to insult me and even call me a liar.

Well since all of you have powers to insult people than i guess you will carry on with your site because i for one thought that TVSA was different.

What puzzles me the most is that even the people who called themselves with pride as "MODERATORS" OR "ADMIN" chose to laugh it off too. This makes me wonder how protected am i as a TVSA blogger? So anyone can just call me whatever they like and no one will say anything? Kanti whats the real job of a "moderator"?

So to "ROBERTSON SPICE", KIM POSSIBLE (CIA SPECIAL AGENT ) and whoever else ongi-insultile, I HAVE A CAR, I HAVE MY OWN HOUSE AND I AM ONLY.... WHAT..... 24, SO GET OVER IT.
