UNDRESSED TO FAME

Written by Venusseed from the blog MINISKIRT MADE ME FAMOUS? on 24 May 2008

I don't mean to be insensitive but I'm writing this with sensitivity towards all those who have been humiliated by "abomageza empompini" known as taxi drivers in public". I know this story is old but this has been on my mind and this is the best way to take it out.

Do you remember Nwabisa "I don't know her surname" who had a horrific experience when taxidrivers harrassed her and molested her at the taxi rank in full view of passengers waiting in lines? Ok I don't intend to go over the actual ordeal I just wanna dwell on the the victim turned "self-proclaimed" celebrity. I have no issues about her but I am amused by her behaviour. Ha a sa tshwareha...

Nwabisa is a young girl from kasi(Soweto) who is very bubbly and full of zest for life. Actually she never used to be so up in your face until she made it in the papers and TV news. Apparently she is good actress who is going to be in some drama series(forgive me for not knowing the drama). Ok let me get to the point. The tall and slim young one hosted a miniskirt party on the 27th of April 2008. Khanyi and Khekhe Khumalo were her two celebrity guests in support for women to wear mini clothes if they want to(Viva miniskirts. Thanks I do't khomba taxis).  Kelly came wearing hotpants and Khanyi.... beh.
What's been taunting me is "Where does this girl work where she is allowed to wear a 20cm short skirt? China City? Seriously ever since I've seen her around I've always seen her in jeans. Not even a Panyaza(braai place in Soweto) on a hot day, have I everseen her legs. Unless if maybe that is her work uniform(interesting). The girl actually told the paper that she usually goes free-willingly in those miniskirts. But seriously how can you say that? Is she trying to be famous about such a story? Did she forget who else reads these papers? People who would want to prove the "no undies" story. ?You should ave seen the people who went to the function. Iyo we went to check out the do and never got out of the cars because there were more taxidriver lookalikes there.

I am happy for her that she made into the acting industry and hope she succeeds but can somebody give her lessons on how to dress? At her funtion she wore a white miniskirt and white Tshirt with black heels. She reminded me of nurses. I think it's because the skirt was big. I saw her in the evening  wearing a silver pleated micromini, meroon shirt and a green pullover and a fake stick-on tatoo. If someone can tell her " It's ok now. The miniskirt made you famous. Your legs are also known now. Quit the short things cos you small cute bum looks sexy in jeans.

Shoo...I got it off now. The swimsuit made Pamela Anderson on Baywatch and the miniskirt made Nwab's at Noord.

I just want to know your views on miniskirts or people who wear minskirts.

I would say its fate....sometimes one has to go through hardships to better themselves. Unfortunately in Nwabisa's case she has experienced the most horrible things for her to be recognised!

Happy for her though. Use the opportuntiy wisely nwabs!!!

PLAYA HATING? NOTT!! If I was Iwouldn't have gone to her party. I just got scared by the guys who were there. I'm so her fan and she knows it. Nwab's is a showstopper hence the drama ko Noord. I just got worried by her telling everyone that she does not wear panties under her skirt.
Nwabisa is young and this happened for her at the right age. If I was hating I wouldn't point out the positive things about her. I'm just purely worried about her.

I would say its fate....sometimes one has to go through hardships to better themselves. Unfortunately in Nwabisa's case she has experienced the most horrible things for her to be recognised!

Happy for her though. Use the opportuntiy wisely nwabs!!!
Nokubonga I second you on that. hank you.

@Zazacious "Firstly I still dont get what the article is all about but ke anyhu." It was just random thoughts. At first I wanted to talk about miniskirts and hooligans who don't understand why women wear them. So because Nwab's ordeal disturbed me I thought I should put it in a way I can get feedback.
Nwabisa should throw a party for abomageza cause indirectly they gave her an acting carrier lol. Hence I say miniskirt made her famous.
Anyhu Im glad that something possitive came out of her situaution. Just goes to show that For every bad thing that happens in our lives an even greater thing happens. Go girl Amen to that

Mini skirt party? Eish, angazi! If abo Fresh can throw a 'Party 4 the hell f it', why not a 'mini skirt' party? You made a good point. Why not? Unfortunately it didn't have a good turn out. Me and my girls were looking forward to that. Eish with our miniskirts to support Nwabs. Lol!!

Thanks for the link LM. This is the party in Pretoria and I see Nwabs had a miniskirt specially designed for her. That's upping her game. I give her props on that. I like the bow on the skirt. I went to the first one in Kliptown. I see PTA chicks cooperated. Maar the Sowetans represented....HOTTT!!

@Weiss and Miss K "and Khanyi....beh" I wrote like I was talking. It means she didn't show up.
