I was once told that, “Persistence is the key to success” and this has most certainly been the case when it comes to my relationship with the Strictly Come Dancing Extravaganza.
Most of you won’t be aware of this but I have made 2 previous attempts to be part of the show, but due to other commitments and external factors my dream unfortunately did not materialise.
But here I am now and I want to go all the way!!!
Preparing for the first weeks episode has been a “roller-coaster ride” of emotions and has presented numerous challenges. I’ve had to juggle my schedule with Isidingo, my new Sunsilk Campaign and the World Food Programme that I am currently involved with, but also my domestic helper considered resigning - oh how we depend on domestic help.
I am so blessed to have Khutso, who hails from the North-West Province, as a partner; he is extremely gifted, has a great work ethic and let’s not forget the “Eye Candy” factor.
The live broadcasting of the Show is definitely a new challenge to add to my repertoire, but was made a lot easier with the girls doing a group dance, sorry Boys.
Week two is upon us, we’re hard at work and we intend to explode onto your screens this week Thursday, after all, “Dynamite comes in small packages!!!”
My intention is to stay true to my voting number, that’s right No.1, so get those text messages or voice prompted votes in.
“Be good or good at it.”
Love ya,
Hlubi.
