Baghdad Four: Still Missing
Earlier this year, Carte Blanche told the story of the “Baghdad Four”, who disappeared while working for a private security company in volatile Iraq. There’s still no sign of the four men kidnapped at a police checkpoint, but new sinister evidence reveals this wasn’t the first time employees of the same company were kidnapped, while allegations point to the illegal transportation of liquor in this strictly Muslim country.

Before leaving to take up this prestigious post, she spoke to Carte Blanche about her humble beginnings as a Durban bus driver’s daughter and her struggle for acceptance in the white, male-dominated justice system of South Africa in the 60s.
