SAA IISAA continues to suck up taxpayers’ billions and make its bosses millions. Its so-called low-cost airline, Mango, was launched two years ago. To date it has cost a whopping R400-million, and shown scant sign of returns. While private competitors struggle in a tough economic climate, many in the industry say government should stop ploughing money into the national carrier.
