Nemza’s cd launch
There I was bored out of my mind on Friday night watching “Live” on SABC1 and guess what, Nemza- member of the hip of group “Skwatta Kamp” was launching his solo albulm. If you don’t know which one specifically seeing as there’s too many of them, Nemza is the short one with dreadlocks. I decided to rush off to “Shoosh” to see whether the guy has the potential of doing well without the rest of the group.
The venue was quite empty for a such an event – clearly the guy’s not that popular. Saw “Live” Presenter, Bonang Matheba with her man Slikour, looking very cute except that she had on the pounds of make-up she was wearing on her show earlier which looked really thick, made me wonder what she really looks like without it... Our version of Beyonce and Jigga huh? Please tell me why you guys just can’t be Bonang and Slikour it sounds far better than wannabes! Clearly the girl accepted his “LBs”- girl you’re so forgiving… The MC was Yfm DJ Mpho Maboi, who did a great job you just gotta love her even when she’s wearing Timberlands and looking very stumpy in them. Skwatta kamp members came out in full force to support their boy Nemza and we enjoyed super performances from Slikour, Shugasmaks, JR, Bozza( my word he is yummmmy) and Flabba.
I must say though Shugasmaks was on fire, I can guarantee we’ll be getting down to “Monate so” this December- it’s just too good! I believe I can officially confirm that he is not with Cwaita anymore, I have seen him in the company of a beautiful, quiet lady a couple of times and was told that’s his woman. I can’t reveal much but it is said she’s an Accountant from Joburg so she’s clearly very intelligent too, although I will say with looks and a body like that girl you could be a supermodel!!! The brother does have great taste in women, that girl is breathtaking – hold on to her my man cause I heard a lot of men talking bout how they’d love to hit you with a brick.
JR and Khuli of Morafe were also there and I could help wondering if they’d taken a bath that day. Hip/hop and R&B star on the rise, Teepee also gave a brilliant performance that had the girls squealing their heads of which goes to prove that ladies just love musicians, oh he also looked like he needed a bath.
Well back to the reason I went to the launch in the first place – Nemza- wow what a dull performance. I actually couldn’t believe a record company spent money on recording and launching that album. All I remember is Nemza and Speedy doing what appeared to be rapping and singing on stage as to what it was about I do not know and it did not sound good either. Not that I’m hating or anything but that CD is definitely not worth my 100 bucks, so to conclude Nemza clearly can’t survive without the rest of the Kamp.
