Has anyone
IN THE HISTORY OF THE SHOW scored 20?! Miss 3 left feet? Yho that was
UMBARRASING!
Oh, Gugu's goodbye message? Copied from his blog, this post kinda said he knew he was leaving and he was saying goodbye. Read it carefully and you'll see it.
Greetings fellow Bloggers
Its that time again and this morning I am reporting live from the Carlton Centre
This morning the mood filled with mixed feelings. We are all partaking in the Gumboot Dance. Suffice to say, Rob VAN VUUREN who claims is blacker than me requires some quick power rehearsal prior to the rehearsal this morning.
On a personal front, I must say, SCD has really taken a toll on everyone’s personal life. I have to admit, I am extremely lucky to have the support I have not only from TVSA bloggers, Rally Fraternity, Friends and Family, but more importantly, The 1st Lady.
As some of you would know from my previous bloggs, she attended the 1st show, without hassle but was involved in a SMASH AND GRAB on her 2nd visit, since then the sister has been “Pushing Knowledge” and has not blessed us with her presence, however thanks to technology, her sms and calls have kept us u beat even during our low moments and her understanding of my time commitment has been somewhat amazing. I am thankful that she too has been kept busy as she strives for her 6 distinctions in her studies, therefore the void left by my rather busy schedule has not been felt too much. Unlike my other fellow cast members, who are battling not only on stage, but sadly in their homely life has become imbalanced. For their sake, I certainly hope matters are patched up and get back to normal very soon.
Once again, thank you all for the support. Much appreciated, have a great evening and will fly the kite as always. Vote Couple #6
As it turned out Rob's claims weren't that far-fetched and it was clear that Gugu inspires so much confidence in his writing that it was a huge shock to my system to see him perform LIVE. I was embarrased to be associated with the GZFC
(Gugu Zulu Fan Club) after his performance. I think I got struck by a sudden case of conscience that there happens to be Rob who is a dance king and is clearly the winner for this season and here i am rooting for someone who is in a way 'mocking' this show. So i had a change of heart last night and i'm glad Gugu left. Call me a hypocrite, i can live with it.
Black was the colour of the night. Just about every second person was dressed in black...at some point iit looked like a satanists' convention. I have never seen a man fussed over as much as Tyrone gets fussed over. Or maybe i should say his ponytail gets so much attention, you'd think the man whips his head around constantly. At every ad break, that ponytail gets a comb, a brush and a dash of spritz......in that order! Someone powders his face and someone else tends to his hands....so he gets THREE people that maintain his hair, face and hands....
OMFW!
Gugu FAKED it till he was kicked off the show and the only thing he managed to do last night was make EVERYONE else look good.....that's really baad for a black man, c'mon now!
Anele sisi, what is happening to you? if it's not your dress, it's your ankle, if not that, it's your wrist and now it's your SPUNK! It's fading and you remind me of those plus sized models on ANTM whose spirit spirals downwards by the 4th episode!! Is Tyrone supposed to tell contestants that they are on their way out?
Anyway, Cindy is a pretty girl, much more so when you see her live. Loved her UBUNTU cap and her gumboot dancing.
Shockingly, Gugu managed to be outperformed by everyone in
GUMBOOT-FLIPPIN-DANCING!!
Low points:The Parlotones performance WASN'T live...LOL!!!!!! They were recorded during the break and we were supplementing it by all the screaming and looking-like-we're-seeing-them facial expressions.
Sandy saying, You have an album out or a couple of albums out to the lead singer. You either know or you don't know Sandy, don't let us know you haven't done your research.
Sandy calling Mirriam Makeba
Mama Maria....WTF?!
Sandy and Ian pretending to be cool with Gugu when we could see they were happy he was finally out of the show...all that Ferrari talk flew over my head.
Gugu suppressing the need to cry. At some point, he looked like he was going to shed a tear and then he went over to the judges to shake hands and air-kiss. Shem man.
I don't like Sarah and the way she taught Gugu to dance. I won't go into my conspiracy theories but I'm happy for Gugu that he won't have to deal with her anymore.
I don't like the salvation army hat Gugu wore and the smug looks on the judges faces when Gugu's name was called out for the dance-off.
Phew!
Oh: Ian was telling everyone how to scream and clap and look happy and he pointed to the lady sitting next to me and said something to the effect: Not like that! You look like a suicide case after a Norweighan holiday.
I didn't get the joke and clearly the woman wasn't impressed with it.
