It turns out that neither Sami Sabiti, Janez Vermeiren nor Pabi Moloi
will be taking over from Colin Moss as the new host of Idols.
M-Net has announced that the role has gone to SABC3 continuity presenter and Jacaranda FM DJ Liezel van der Westhuizen.
Liezel, who has a Masters degree in Communication, will be leaving SABC3 next year to focus exclusively on hosting the show.
In addition to her presenting and DJ'ing, Liezel was recently voted number 56 on FHM's 100 Sexiest Women In The World list.
This year she also received three People Magazine Crystal Award nominations - which included a nomination for Best Female Presenter - and received a nomination for the Best Female Newcomer at the You Spectacular Awards.
Musically, Liezel began her broadcasting career as music manager on varsity radio station Tuks FM and went on to become the international PR manager for EMI Music in South Africa before turning her attention to presenting.
She'll still be on SABC3 until January 2009 and will then be on Idols when it premieres on Sunday, 1 Feburary.
