Thursday, 1 January 2009 Erica confronts JR, who convinces her that Babe is lying about Bess being Miranda in order to get back at him. Erica buys JR's story after he mentions the DNA test Joe and Tad conducted. JR destroys Babe's letter to Bianca.
David warns Krystal that Jamie and Babe could go to prison for kidnapping and privately fears that Jamie killed Paul Cramer. David stops Tad from telling Bianca the truth about Miranda. Bianca wants answers from David and Tad.
Erica is furious at Krystal, whom she believes helped Babe "lie" about Bess being Miranda in the letter meant for Bianca. Working as a team, Jamie and Babe avoid trouble with a police officer and continue their way south.
Zach insists to Edmund that Maria loves him (Edmund). Maria angrily tells Edmund that he can have his divorce. Zach urges Maria to come back to him. Brooke warns Edmund that he's making a mistake.
Friday, 2 January 2009 JR claims to Tad and David that Babe's letter was nothing more than lies and still acts as though Bess is his daughter. David convinces Tad not to reveal what he knows to Bianca and later explains how Babe and Jamie kidnapped Babe's son. David also insists to Tad that Jamie murdered Paul Cramer. JR tries to mend fences with Bianca.
JR demands that Adam stop pursuing Jamie and Babe. Bianca confronts David, Tad and Krystal. Jamie, Babe and James take a room at a motel. Jamie promises Babe that JR will never take her son away from her.
Zach makes it clear to Maria that he will be there for her. Brooke tries to convince Edmund to forgive Maria and points out that Maria loves him. Edmund sees Zach comforting Maria. Maria becomes angry when Edmund tells Maddie and Sam that he and Maria are divorcing.
Monday, 5 January 2009 Kendall gives Ryan several examples of Greenlee's recent strange behavior.
Meanwhile, Greenlee acts oddly at the Valley Inn when she runs in to Mary. As Ethan's arraignment approaches, Zach convinces Ethan to accept his help. Greenlee disrupts the proceedings in the courtroom. Ethan feels betrayed when Zach refuses to post his one million dollar bail.
Kendall visits Ethan in his jail cell. Someone is seen loading a rifle. Tad explains to Bianca that he can't reveal the truth yet as it could place Babe and Jamie in danger. Tad unleashes his anger on David and Krystal.
Adam tells Brooke that Jamie ran off with Babe. Tad promises Brooke he will find Jamie. Maggie asks Jonathan to move in with her and begins to distance herself from Bianca.
Tuesday, 6 January 2009 JR refuses to give Kendall the money to bail Ethan out of jail. Kendall wonders if Bianca and Babe were right about JR. Bianca confronts Zach over his not telling her that he was a Cambias right from the start and for turning his back on Ethan.
Greenlee refuses to go to the hospital while insisting to Ryan that she feels like her old self. Someone is watching Ryan and Greenlee. Kendall encounters Ryan and Greenlee at the perfume factory as the mystery person aims a gun at Ryan.
Erica is unapologetic when Maria confronts her for telling Edmund about seeing Zach and Maria together in the cemetery. Brooke accuses Maria of hurting Edmund by carrying on with Zach.
Jamie realizes that the money they got from JR is missing. After speaking with Kendall, Bianca questions Erica about the letter Babe sent. JR tells Adam about Babe's claim that their son died.
Wednesday, 7 January 2009 Erica refuses to tell Bianca the contents of Babe's letter. Jack becomes frustrated when Erica won't confide in him. Adam wonders if Babe was telling the truth about JR's son being dead and considers the possibility that Bess is actually Miranda.
Fully in denial, JR warns Adam never to doubt that Bess is JR's daughter. Bianca confronts JR about Babe's letter. Brooke turns to Tad and Krystal for news about Jamie and Babe. Aidan tells Tad and Krystal that Paul Cramer is presumed dead but that Jamie doesn't seem to be suspected of killing him.
Babe reveals to Jamie that she has money from pawning her engagement ring. At the perfume factory, the tension runs high between Kendall and Greenlee.
While on the drive home, Ryan becomes concerned when a paranoid Greenlee insists that people are following them. A shot rings out as Ryan and Greenlee are outside at a rest stop.
Thursday, 8 January 2009 A hidden Zach fires his rifle at Ryan and Greenlee, who aren't hit. Ryan and Greenlee make it back to their parking garage, where Ryan finds a bullet lodged in the car's upholstery. Ryan later confronts Zach.
Jonathan tells Greenlee he suspects Kendall of shooting at Ryan. Greenlee imagines Kendall shooting Ryan dead and then prepares to run Kendall down when she enters the parking garage.
JR is relieved when Bianca doesn't jump to the conclusion that Bess is actually Miranda. Maria believes that Ethan is faking his symptoms. Aidan prevents Ethan from escaping.
Erica and Kendall share a warm moment. Erica isn't pleased to learn that Zach owns the space she wants to buy to house her new business. Zach refuses to sell the space to Erica. Aidan assures Anita she never led him on but does admit that he has feelings for her.
Friday, 9 January 2009 In the parking garage, Greenlee drives her car straight towards Kendall, who manages to jump out of the way before being killed. Greenlee is convinced that Ryan is dead. Ryan returns home to find Greenlee disoriented and takes her to the hospital.
Zach denies Ryan's accusation that he shot at him. Ryan hits a nerve when he brings up Zach's relationship with Alexander, Sr. Maria realizes that Zach shot at Ryan in order to clear Ethan. Bianca tells Erica she believes JR lied about Babe's letter because he wants Bianca to hate Babe.
Tad is torn when he sees how much JR loves Bess. After confiding in Joe, Tad sets off to find Babe and Jamie. Aidan gives Tad the aliases that Babe and Jamie are using. Maria admits to Anita that she has feelings for both Edmund and Zach. Kendall apologizes to Anita for paying Bobby to try to seduce Greenlee.
Monday, 12 January 2009 Greenlee fears that she might have a brain tumor when Maria wants her to have an MRI. Ryan helps Greenlee get through the procedure after she suffers an attack of claustrophobia. Zach defends his actions to Maria. Zach becomes angry when Maria compares him to his father.
The judge refuses to drop the charges against Ethan but does allow Kendall to post his bond. While in a diner in North Carolina, a man thinks he recognizes baby James as being Ace Buchanan but Babe and Jamie manage to convince the man otherwise.
Krystal lies to Adam and claims that Bess is really JR's daughter and not Bianca's. Adam threatens to destroy Krystal if he learns that she kept the truth from him.
Tuesday, 13 January 2009 Bianca shares her belief that Babe and Jamie are involved in Paul Cramer's murder with Krystal. Despite David's objections, Tad is determined to find Babe and Jamie while insisting that JR be told the truth about his son being alive. David accuses Tad of wanting to tell JR the truth because of Dixie.
Maggie explains to Bianca why Jonathan is distant with her. Maggie and Bianca want each other to be happy. Jamie explains to Babe why he believes Tad will never forgive Krystal. Babe senses that something went wrong in her plan to reunite Bianca and Miranda and decides to call home.
Maria tells Ryan and Greenlee that the results of Greenlee's MRI came back normal. Ryan convinces Greenlee to take Maria's advice and consult with a psychiatrist.
Jack finds Reggie and Danielle half dressed in bed together. Jack has a frank discussion with Reggie about sex while Erica does the same with Danielle.
Wednesday, 14 January 2009 Babe has an uneasy feeling after her phone call to Krystal. After doing some digging on the internet, Babe and Jamie realize that Bianca still doesn't know that Miranda is alive. Babe calls Bianca. David comforts Krystal when she berates herself for the trouble she's caused Babe.
David kisses Krystal. Greenlee meets with Dr. Hayes, a psychiatrist, and hallucinates that he Ryan during their session. Greenlee is given new medication to try. Ryan, angry that Jonathan almost allowed Greenlee to run over Kendall, nearly attacks his brother.
Bianca tells Ethan that she believes Zach could be lying about not being Ethan's father and urges him to have a DNA test conducted. Zach says some very harsh and hurtful words to Kendall as he accuses her of using Ethan in order to try and further his agenda of getting Ethan to leave town. Kendall tells Ethan is might be best if he skipped bail and left town.
Thursday, 15 January 2009 Babe contacts Bianca, who believes that JR lied about the content of Babe's letter. Babe is upset to learn that Bianca still doesn't know that Bess is Miranda. Babe forms a plan and tells Bianca to get JR to attend the benefit concert for the Miranda Montgomery Center with Bess in Florida.
David and Krystal downplay their kiss as they focus on getting Bess away from JR. Ethan realizes that Zach is behind Kendall telling him to jump bail and leave town.
Ethan assures Kendall he is staying because he cares about her and is determined to prove his innocence. Ethan later confronts Zach. Maria can't stop herself from thinking about Zach. At the hospital, Maria learns that Edmund is experiencing some feelings in his legs.
Friday, 16 January 2009 At Babe's request, Bianca tries to convince JR to attend the Miranda Montgomery Center's benefit concert in Florida and to bring Bess with him. Kendall manipulates JR into agreeing to attend the concert.
Meanwhile, Babe insists to Jamie that she needs to be the one to face Bianca in person while he stays behind to watch James. JR is livid when he catches Adam taking the water glass Bianca used. Maria is hurt to learn that Edmund has been experiencing feelings in his leg for some time but never told her.
Knowing she is hurting because of Edmund, Zach resists Maria's advances. Brooke tells Edmund he was wrong to keep the truth from Maria. Ethan punches Zach when he insults Kendall.
Jonathan tells Ethan he no longer suspects him of shooting Ryan as he believes Zach is the guilty party. Bobby watches the exchange between Jonathan and Ethan and later makes a cryptic call demanding blackmail money.
Monday, 19 January 2009 Erica and Jack's Thanksgiving dinner at the Valley Inn with Kendall, Ethan, Bianca, Ryan, Greenlee, Jonathan, Maggie, Derek, Livia, Reggie, Danielle, Lily and Myrtle quickly turns chaotic. Kendall wants to tell JR that Babe is involved in Bianca's desire to have him attend the concert but Bianca convinces her otherwise.
Ethan defends himself as he informs Jack and Erica that Greenlee tried to run Kendall over with her car. Greenlee acts strangely on the rooftop at Fusion. David, Krystal, Brooke, Palmer and Opal arrive at the Chandler mansion for an uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner.
Marian is furious Adam didn't invite Stuart to Thanksgiving. Babe calls Bianca's cell phone, which Bianca accidentally left at the Chandler mansion. Tad demands David tell him where Jamie is. When David refuses, Tad threatens to expose all he knows.

Thursday, 22 January 2009 Jack wants answers from Ryan about Greenlee's recent psychological problems. Meanwhile, a delusional Greenlee sets up her trapeze gear on the rooftop at Fusion. Ethan allows Kendall to vent her anger about Greenlee and grows more attracted to her. Kendall finds Greenlee swinging on the trapeze on the rooftop.
Under the impression that Babe is planning on kidnapping Bess, Bianca begs Tad not to say anything. Babe is relieved when Bianca calls to say she convinced JR to attend the concert with Bess.
Autumn and her father arrive at the Valley Inn, where Autumn accuses Reggie of stealing and wrecking her car. As Jack and Erica discuss the chaotic events of the day, Erica suddenly asks Jack to marry her.
Friday, 23 January 2009 On the rooftop, Kendall saves Greenlee from plunging to her death as Ryan and Ethan arrive on the scene. Ryan believes Kendall is responsible for Greenlee almost killing herself. Kendall admits to Ethan that she still cares about Greenlee and didn't want to see her die.
Kendall and Ethan grow closer. At the hospital, Joe and Dr. Ashbourne promise Ryan they will find out what is causing Greenlee's episodes. Ryan is devastated when Greenlee has to be placed in the psychiatric ward.
Reggie admits to Maggie that he hoped she and Bianca would become a couple. Bianca assures Jonathan she isn't going to pursue a relationship with Maggie.
Bianca asks Jonathan to give Maggie a letter she wrote as it is the anniversary of Frankie's death and wants Maggie to know she's thinking about her. Jonathan returns home and gives Maggie roses. Maggie is touched that Jonathan remembered her sister, saying no one else did. Jonathan remembers destroying the letter Bianca gave him.
Anita signs the divorce papers. Anita and Bianca commiserate about lost loves as they try to put on a brave face and toast to new beginnings. Erica arranges a romantic surprise for Jack. After expressing their feelings for one another, Jack accepts Erica's proposal.
Monday, 26 January 2009 Adam tries to stop JR from taking Bess to Florida, claiming he has a feeling that something isn't right. JR ignores Adam's warning and leaves for Florida on the Chandler jet with Bess, Bianca and Kendall. JR, Bianca and Kendall are surprised when they see that Tad has sneaked onboard. Bianca implores Tad to let her handle things once they arrive in Florida.
Bianca, Babe, JR and Jamie separately reflect on the events that led them to this point in their lives. Babe and Jamie, with baby James, watch from a distance as Bianca, Bess, JR and Kendall arrive at the concert site. Jamie and Babe are surprised when Tad confronts them.
Stuart warns Adam that Adam and JR's actions will come back to hurt them.
At the hospital, Kendall is hurt when Ryan accuses her of being responsible for Greenlee almost falling to her death from the rooftop at Fusion. Ethan defends Kendall and later tells Erica that he always sees the best, not the worst, in Kendall.
Dr. Ashbourne informs Ryan, Jack, Erica and Mary that Greenlee has a powerful anti-psychotic drug in her bloodstream that could prove fatal. Ryan realizes that someone poisoned Greenlee.
Tuesday, 27 January 2009 Jamie denies to Tad that he killed Paul Cramer but does admit to seeing Paul's body in the cemetery. Tad insists to Jamie and Babe that JR must be told that his (JR's) son is alive. JR tries to convince Kendall to help him prevent Bianca from meeting with Babe.
Bianca warns Kendall that their relationship will be destroyed if she sides with JR. Bianca encounters David and Krystal, demanding they don't interfere in her and Babe's plan. JR finds David and Krystal. Greenlee attacks Maria, who she believes is Kendall.
Jack, Ryan and Erica try to figure out who might have poisoned Greenlee. Jack and Erica go to David's cabin to see if he could have given Greenlee the drugs. Erica finds the letter Babe sent to David and Krystal. Ethan discovers a bottle of pills in Kendall's condo just as Ryan arrives.
Wednesday, 28 January 2009 Bianca warns Kendall not to side with JR against her. Bianca explains to Kendall why she wants to help Babe and Bess.
Tad demands that Jamie and Babe tell JR the truth about his son and also wants them to turn themselves in for kidnapping. Jamie pretends to agree with Tad but then knocks him unconscious. David arrives to make sure Tad stays restrained in the motel room.
Babe sets out to confront Bianca. JR warns David and Krystal to keep Babe away from him and Bess. Ethan tells Ryan he believes Zach could be responsible for drugging Greenlee. Ethan destroys the pill bottle he found in Kendall's condo as he thinks it could be used as evidence against her and is unaware that Zach is watching him.
Maria and Edmund's relationship is further strained when Edmund tells Ryan he suspects Zach drugged Greenlee. Erica comforts Jack, who is worried Greenlee may never recover.
