The Real Goboza has been lost to the twlight zone of the ever ongoing SABC's-a-mess fiasco.
The weekly celeb-ertainment show on SABC1 is officially off-air and there's no news about a follow-up season.
The show most recently ran for it's third season and neither SABC 1 nor the production house Urban Brew have been able to confirm whether or not it will ever be back.
In our investigation to find answers as to why it's not on anymore we got two different stories: one industry insider told us that it's because of the cash crisis, while another told us that it's on "content reveiw", to assess the content to see if it will get another season.
In the meantime, co-presenter
Siyabonga Ngwekazi has moved on - he's been snapped up by a new show called V Entertainment, which debuts on the Vuzu Channel next week Wednesday.
Vuzu replaces channel
go on DStv Channel 123 - it debuts next Wednesday (1 July) and V Entertainment will be the channel's signature entertainment news show.
The half-hour show will run daily Mondays to Fridays and will cover updates on local and international celebrity and entertainment news. Hosting alongside Siya: presenter and long-time Channel O VJ
Nonhle Thema.
"RGB's off-air at the moment for reasons I don't know, so I just took another job," Siya told us. "Honestly, I don't know why it's not on air."
"We get paid per episode on RGB so with it off-air we weren't making any money obviously, so I've had to move on."
When asked about whether or not both channels would be okay with him doing both shows should RGB return he said, "The thing is, V Entertainment didn't have a problem with me doing SABC at all - they know; and SABC knew too."
V Entertainment premieres on Vuzu on Wednesday (1 July) at 19h00.
