Episode 9: Jada Pinkett Smith
Lucia is an aspiring fashion/lingerie designer who needs a style overhaul. She’s been wearing men’s oversized clothing mixed with bold colors that is leaving this beautiful girl looking somewhat clownish.
Lucia’s fashion is the polar opposite of Jada Pinkett Smith’s polished and sophisticated style, so Jay thinks she’s a perfect inspiration for the wannabe designer. Celebrity stylist Carla shows Lucia that she doesn’t need to wear overly bold colors to be bold.
Hair stylist Kaya helps Lucia’s severely damaged hair and gives her a luscious weave that even Jada would be jealous of. Lucia has been wearing a bright color of lipstick on her cheeks instead of blush that wasn’t helping her look any less like a clown, so make up artist Valente shows Lucia how less can make her even more beautiful.
After a day with our glam squad Lucia finds the beautiful and confident woman hidden beneath the oversized clothes. With her new Jada inspired look, Lucia has all the tools necessary to be taken seriously in the world of fashion.

When hair stylist Tami realizes Natalie’s hair has been friend from years of over processing, she quickly changes her plan of action. Instead of emulating Hayden’s long hair, much to Natalie and Jay’s surprise, Tami opts to give Natalie a cute bob that Hayden sported last year.
And Nole has made Natalie toss her fishnets and army print in favor of skirts, skinny jeans and muted colors. By the time Jay’s team is done with her, Natalie will definitely be scoring A’s for style, and more importantly, confidence.
