The first round of auditions for e.tv's new Latin dance show Superdance happened in Jozi yesterday (6 August 2009).
The show is a 13-episode reality search and offers a winning dance couple R20 000 and a performance with the world's Top 5 dance couples at the World Dance Event.
Next week the second round of auditions take place in Durban.
When: on Friday, 14 August 2009. (Please note: this is a day later than previously scheduled when the show was first announced.)
Where: the BAT centre's Main Hall
Time: from 08h00. Entrants are advised to get to the venue early to secure an audition.
The competition is open to both professional and amateur Latin dance couples who are 18-years and older.
After Durban the show moves onto to Cape Town with auditions on 21 August - venue to be confirmed.
The show premieres on e.tv on Wednesday, 16 September 2009.

Some handy audition FAQ'sWhat should I perform at the audition?You can perform one Latin dance for the prelim judges. The dance should be no longer than 1 minute long. It can be in any of the 5 Latin styles - Samba, Ramba, Pasa Doble, Cha-Cha and Jive.
What should I bring to the audition?The Superdance team is anticipating thousands of people so the chances are you may have a long wait in the queue, so bring water, food and something to protect you from the weather. The show also needs to verify your age so please bring your passport and/or an official ID document.
How long will I need to be available for?The final of Superdance will take place in September 2009. If you pass through the audition stages and keep doing well, you will need to be available for 3 months from your first TV appearance. Exact dates and schedules will be supplied to the successful couples.
