When the tough and dedicated street cop Frank Leo (Aaron Douglas - Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica) steps up to become head of his local police union, he’s determined to put ordinary cops first and face down corruption in the ranks.
But the old boys’ network running the Toronto police force operates hand in glove with the city’s self-serving politicians and soon Frank is fighting not just to rid Bridge Division of corruption but also to save his own career.
Inspired by the real experiences of veteran police officer Craig Bromell, The Bridge offers unique insights into one man’s efforts to clean up his local police force from the inside.
The series is created by the award-winning writer Alan Di Fiore (Da Vinci’s Inquest) and explores the personal cost and political machinations involved in contemporary law enforcement.

Picking up from Season 5's cliff-hanger finale, the tension continues to mount in the first episode of Season 6, as Shane (Walton Goggins) struggles to cope with his guilt after learning that Kavanaugh planted the lie that led him to kill his friend and fellow cop.
Meanwhile, Kavanaugh does everything he can think of to discredit the Strike Team, including planting evidence and coercing a trusted informant.
Unaware of the killer’s identity, Vic sets out to prove that it was mobster Guardo Lima who killed Lem and discovers, too late, that he’s made a fatal mistake.
When Shane turns to the Armenians for protection he soon finds his misplaced faith has put the Mackey family in grave danger.
Season highights: Forest Whitaker returns in the role of Jon Kavanaugh.
