The 25th and final season of
Oprah premieres on SABC3 this evening (14 February), following a delay because of the Usual Story: the tapes didn't arrive on time.
The tapes are now on the scene and the season premieres in it's regular timeslot at 17h35.
The show will air daily at this time until the Cricket World Cup, which starts later this week. The opening ceremony is on Thursday (17 February) and the first game is on Saturday (19 February), between India and Banglagesh.
Together SABC1, 2 and 3 will be airing 32 of the Cup games - SABC3 will air the majority of them and will be broadcasting all of the games played by South Africa.
We'll keep you posted with the schedule and times of matches that will air.
Oprah will still be on daily during the Cup but will move: on days when there are matches it will be on at
21h30, with a repeat at 00h30.
As for tonight's premiere, it's titled: Oprah's Farewell Season Premiere With Special Guest John Travolta.
It's a special introduction to the season featuring flashbacks to episodes over the 25 years of the show. It also includes viewers and their experiences while watching the show and various celebrity guests including John Travolta and Don Johnson.
