Pirates of Somalia IIIt’s been a year since the disappearance of Durban couple Debbie Calitz and Bruno Pelizzari off the Somali coast. They were deck hands on a yacht when they were kidnapped by pirates last October and vanished without a trace.
They’ve since made contact with their families through a pirate negotiator called Ali. But ransom demands remain more than ordinary folk can afford. Carte Blanche speaks to the pirates themselves.
