It's been four years since it first debuted on M-Net and now it's about to make a comeback.
Culture Shock will be returning in the new year, with a headline spot on Mzansi Magic. It'll be back for an 18-episode season and the search is on for families to star in it.
The format
The series is a locally created reality format that follows contrasting families as they swap lives - in the same way wives swap lives in the series Wife Swap.
Two members of each family move in with each other and live life exactly as their new families do.
During the first two days, the visiting family members must adhere to exactly the same rules and lifestyle of the host family and the rules laid out by the member they are replacing. The departing members of the family leave a house manual, which explains his or her role in the family and the duties they hold.
During the second half of the show, the visiting family is allowed to establish their own rules and their new families must adhere to these new household rules.
How to applyThe series is looking for families that include a mom, dad and minimum of two children - or any two adults with a minimum of two children who live as a family unit.
