How was Lucky Dube's murder solved? How did his family deal with their anguish? Why was Leigh Matthews murdered when her family paid a ransom? How did an "armed robbery" lead to the cold blooded killing of Taliep Petersen?
Questions that will be solved in an arresting new South African series Crimes Uncovered. The 13-episode exposé premieres on M-Net next Wednesday, 4 July at 21h30 and covers various real-life crimes that have gripped the nation. All of them have one key aspect in common: each case has resulted in the successful arrest and conviction of those who committed them.
The show uses a combination of dramatic re-enactments, narration and interviews to explore each horrific crime from the perspective of the victims and their families who share their traumatic experiences.
Each episode also includes interviews with officials from the SAPS who were involved in the various cases as well as advocates, lawyers, scientists and other experts who give their opinions on the investigations and resulting court cases.
