SONY will be airing a double season marathon of
The Amazing Race starting in mid-August.
The channel will be repeating Seasons 16 and 17 in the wake of the show's recent
2012 Emmy nods. The series has received a total of seven nominations including Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Reality Host for
Phil Keoghan.
Season 16 and 17 aired on SONY last year and will be rebroadcast back-to-back, with Season 16 starting on Monday, 13 August at 19h05. New episodes will air Mondays to Fridays at the same time and will be followed by Season 17 when 16 ends.
Both seasons feature 11 teams each, with Season 16 starting in Los Angeles while Season 17 sees the show making first-time visits to Bangladesh, Ghana and the Arctic Circle.
