Updated on 24 August 2012
Please note: Goba Msenge was supposed to premiere on Thursday, 23 August at 20h30 but didn't start. It was replaced with a repeat of Death Of A Queen at the last minute, with no explanation from the channel. The new premiere date is now 13 September.
It's been almost 10 years since Poseletso Sejosingoe battled for the Idols title in Season 2.
In typical Idols fashion, the best contender came second when the competition came down to Poseletso and Anke Pietrangeli and Anke took the win.
After that Poseletso disappeared from telly, she moved from Cape Town to Jozi and then back to Cape Town again and makes her TV comeback on Thursday, 13 September (23 August) at 20h30.
She's starring in the SABC1 mini-series
Goba Msenge in a return of the Shakespeare in Mzansi strand. As you'll probs remember, the last mini-series in the line-up aired three years ago and now it's back for more Shakespearean re-interpretations.
Goba Msenge's based on The Taming of the Shrew and Poseletso plays the lead character Kat. The show was filmed on location in Cape Town, Grabouw and Villiersdorp and production's just wrapped - last week.
I was really tickled when I heard that she's starring so I caught up with her to find out more about where she's at and how she feels about her role:
Poseletso: It was so interesting, not really acting, just being myself. I'm very naughty and Kat's a very naughty character.
She also spilt that she's in the process of recording her first album. On Friday - this Friday, tomorrow (24th) - she's flying up to Jozi to continue working on it with TMP Records. The idea is to release it before the end of the year, ideally before the Metro FM Awards.
Why's it taken so long for an album?
Tashi: What impact did Idols have on your career if any? Did it?
Poseletso: Not really because when I left Joburg I left the singing and all that because it wasn't really working at that moment because I didn't release an album. I had gigs and was performing covers and that so I moved to Cape Town.
I wanted to see if I could do something else because I was getting tired of all the not doing much so I auditioned for theatre in Cape Town and it was much better. I was learning, composing music and acting so I learnt a lot.
I felt then that I was too young, I wasn't ready to go through the fame and whatever because I was 18 years old. I was too scared - I didn't have any family in Joburg - at least now I feel that I'm ready to face the world.
Tashi: Do you ever hear from Anke? What happened to her?
Poseletso: I have no idea what happened to her - the last time I spoke to her was on the last night of Idols.
Tashi: Would you do Idols again?
Poseletso: I don't really like competitions. Even when I entered Idols it wasn't my choice really. My choir conductor who suggested I enter, actually forced me to do it, I'm nervous of competitions, I don't like being judged and stuff like that.

While she records her album she'll be continuing her threatre work, acting and working as a musical director which she's been doing over the past few years too.
All so interesting and fun I thought. Shakespearean almost.
