Vineyards Blazing After a December break, farming unrest has returned to Western Cape fruit-growing areas with renewed vigour. While experts say there’s no way fruit farmers can afford to pay their labourers R150 a day and that jobs will be lost, compromise deals are on the cards, amid fears that European markets may soon be affected.
