Donald - also nominated for Best International Act: Africa.

South African hipsters Toya Delazy and Donald have both been nominated for a 2013 BET Award. The pair have been given the nod in the Best International Act: Africa category - the same category that Lira received a nomination for last year.

Joining them as competitors are Nigeria's 2Face Idibia and Ice Prince (who was nominated last year too), R2Bees from Ghana and Uganda's Radio and Weasel.

The category was first introduced two years ago and delivered a double whammy of wins last year when the award was awarded to both Sarkodie from Ghana and Nigeria's Wizkid.

The awards have only announced the nominees so far, with snippets of news in between. Most notably: Chris Brown has been confirmed to perform at the ceremony and R. Kelly will be closing the night.

The ceremony takes place at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday, 30 June and will air on BET on TopTV - we'll let you know once the broadcast date and time have been confirmed.
