In South Africa, 69% of all bipolar patients are initially misdiagnosed - it can take over 5 years to get the correct diagnosis. Sadly, 1 in 5 people with Bipolar will commit suicide. Educating South Africans about the facts is an important part of de-stigmatising this disorder and encouraging those affected to reach out for help.

The legendary South African runner, Zola Budd achieved fame in 1984, at the age of 17, when she broke the women's 5000m world record.
Almost three decades later, Zola will be part of a field of nearly 20000 athletes to take to the road for the 2013 Comrades Marathon on Sunday, 2 June for the second time.
She’ll be in studio chatting about her road to the Comrades, her 1984 Olympics heartbreak and her life abroad.

Motor Neuron Disease destroys the nerves that control muscles used for essential activities such as walking, speaking, swallowing and breathing. Many of us had never heard of this disease until it was given a face by former Springbok Rugby Captain, Joost van der Westhuizen, but there are many other South Africans who have been living with Motor Neuron Disease for years.
Three Talk visits the home of the longest known survivor of the disease and meets sufferers who have made controversial decisions about their future with the disease.
Noeleen also chats to Joost to find out how he's coping with this debilitating ailment.
