If you're a budding entrepreneur or you'd like to go into business, be sure to catch the first episode of "It's My Biz", a Nedbank initiative on etv at 17h30 today. (Previously Fix My Biz)
The show launched last week in a very business-ey setup at The Venue, Morningside. TVSA was there. It was a very okay event with lovely food, drink, very little appearance of joburg's socialites...just business people speaking in a language of money and deals.
Clearly, entrepreneurship is the way to go these days, but we know mos the notion that nearly 70% of small businesses fail in their first three years? Nedbank sets to change that. Every week, small business owners meet with renowned entrepreneurs and thought leaders from different walks of life who have experienced similar challenges in their formative years. These thought leaders will provide insight into the challenges that the business owner has identified as a barrier in terms of accelerating to the next level of growth.
Some of the thought leaders: Ndaba Ntsele (of Pamodzi), David Bate (of Leopard Frog Vineyards) and Dion Chang (of Flux Trends), with Sibongiseni Ngundze: Managing Executive of Nedbank Retail Relationship Banking.
They say that the reason they changed the name from "Fix My Biz" was to remove the negative connotation that the name carried, and obviously cancel the failure that small businesses are associated with.

Andile Masuku was MC and is the show's host.
e.tv Head of Channel, Monde Twala says "It’s My Biz is one of those shows that add value to viewers because it celebrates and educates aspirant and established entrepreneurs."
