South African actor Langley Kirkwood is making waves on the international TV scene.
And it's not just because he's a pirate.
Langley's currently playing Captain Bryson in the hot-and-hyped pirate series Black Sails. The series has been filming at the Cape Town Studios and airs in the US on the Starz channel.
Word from
TVLine is that Langley has just been signed as a new character in the upcoming third season of Banshee. Season 2 recently finished on M-Net and the series was renewed for Season 3 in January.
Langley will play Colonel Douglas Stowe, who, like the majority of characters on Banshee, is involved in illegal business.
Colonel Douglas is a former commando who runs illegal shenanigans from Banshee's Camp Genoa.
Langley's South African acting credits include roles on soapies Isidingo, Backstage and The Wild as well as SABC1 drama Montana. He's also had roles in various films including Invictus, Country of My Skull and Dredd.
Will he get as much passion and sex on Banshee as Lucas Hood does? The women on the show clearly like bad boys so it's highly that he will.
