New Zulu drama calls for actors, singers

SABC1 has commissioned a new drama series titled Uzalo and is looking to cast actors and singers for it.

Auditions are coming up in KZN and Gauteng.

Durban auditions

The Durban auditions take place at The Playhouse Company this Friday and Saturday (2 and 3 May).

Johannesburg auditions

Johannesburg auditions are happening The Bassline in Newtown the following week, on Friday and Saturday, 9 and 10 May.

Time?

Doors open at 09h00 at both venues.

Who is the show looking for?

Zulu-speaking actors and singers over the age of 18. Experience isn't essential.

All auditionees will act and sing for the casting panel.

Audition must-knows:

You'll be asked to improvise at the auditions so you don't need to prepare anything. You can simply arrive.

Hey ms Tandz - we've asked about those who feel they aren't strong in both and they say that it's a bonus if you can both act and sing but if you're only strong in one thing it's cool too. They're looking for both actors and singers.

If you come on the first day of the audition is the 2nd day a call back day..just asking incase one doesn't stay in joburg :)

If I saw it earlier I would have made plans to pitch up for the auditions this weekend. Hi, LwandileJentile. I did the auditions and I went through to the second round, SAME STORY I was told to wait for a call, when my phone rings I RUN LIKE A MAD WOMAN. But since it Friday now I honestly lost hope. i think i did'nt make it. but SA Got talent is back don't loose out!!!!!!!!!!
