Kgomotso Matsunyane and her "date"
So on Wednesday night the TVSA trio invaded the Feather Awards in Melrose Arch to bring you the best in goss and dirt. Makisto, Pruluv and Tazteeq relate their experience about the evening.

First impressions:
Makisto
Bonang Matheba and Lucia Mthiyane
I arrived early there so the so-called celebrities pretty much arrived one by one and I took pictures of them until I got tired because they are just never on time. But I suppose that’s good thing because can you imagine Bonang and Tina, the media will end up having a mini war.
Jafta Mamabolo and Bonga Percy Vilakazi of Rhythm City
The red carpet was where things were going down as we saw the best and the worst in dress sense.
Pruluv
Jay Matlou of OUT and Makisto
The same ol, same ol The Venue and it is sure was a yawnfest that ended up in a lot of drama. Unlike last year, this year lacked fabulousity and felt more like Buyj’s birthday and less of an awards ceremony.
Tazteeq
Kgomotso Christopher and Sonia Sedibe
If you woke up from a 3 month long coma and was taken straight to last night’s Feather Awards, you’d have probably begged to sleep back into it. Drag queens, lady Joe’s, celebs and social-street sluts all gathered for this annual instalment of fashion, glamour and of course DRAMA ritual.
Celebs and their “Can you even spell glamorous” dress code

I felt everyone interpreted glam differently hence mina I opted for my see through muscle top. But people did take an effort. Shame I remember arriving there very early and Pruluv texted me saying she was passing by going to Sandton to buy a top for the night. She was supposed to go with me but we ended up having a miscommunication thanks to BBM. I loved Bonang Matheba’s outfit though?

Tazteeq nearly arrested these folks
The fashion disasters that surfaced almost squeezed the fashion policeman out of me to lodge arrests, but at least I had alcohol to calm me down. Speaking of alcohol, why open a tab at 19:30 and close it at 21:00? Why? Huh? Why? Why? Why?
Zikhona Sodlaka of Montana fame
And may anyone who is into styling please give Zikhona Sodlaka a call right now? It’s an emergency! Please…
The night

Lunga Shabalala and KC of Umhobowenene FM
The hosts couldn’t win the crowd for even 1 second… it was THAT bad. The crowd chatted the night away and I doubt some of them knew that there was an awards ceremony on stage, but did they care… there was free booze and free food, so WHATEVER!
Somizi Mhlongo in his alter ego Madame Gigi drag queen
As we were envisioning how being in bed would be more fascinating than being stuck at Bujy’s get-to-gether. Voila! There was a new host – Madam Gigi. Wait a minute… I don’t know if Somizi was pulled in to save the sinking night, but whoever made that move deserves a feather award themselves. Madam Gigi won the hearts of the crowd and kept all of us in stitches. #Host101

Tazteeq and Tshidi Tenyane of Idols fame
Anyway, moving on to the worst, the place was packed to rafters and oxygen was a serious shortage. Finding a chair to sit was a dreadful exercise and the noise people made was agonizing. I couldn’t even hear the thoughts in my mind. The presenters did well though, Kuli looked so high and bankrupt, I wonder how much they promised to pay her.
Thoughts on Tina Mkwaiwa stealing the show
Tazteeq
Tina Mkwaiwa suddenly started cursing everyone
As for Tina Mkwaiwa and sending death threats to us, #SMH. Her wheelchair grand entrance was just the highlight, she knows how to stir drama.
Pruluv
Then there was ghetto drama personified by Tina. Sure enough she scooped the award for 2012’s Drama Queen, but she’s already won the same award for 2013 with all the drama she caused. Wheelchair bound, she gets on stage repeating the same lines “Be yourself” “Love Yourself” “If I don’t like you I don’t like you” then in the middle of it she started cursing and telling us how one never knows how long they have on earth.
Samkelo Ndlovu arrived solo
Her facial expressions and anger were so petrifying, I was clenching on my purse ready to duck in case she pulled out something… That was creepy drama right there…
Pam Andrews
Makisto
The night would have ended up very boring and nothing special to write home about if it wasn’t for Tina. I appreciate her antics because she is an entertainer of note. Sure I have not heard her sing but I am of the opinion that she should be in the film industry, music is wrong for her. She can produce box office number 1s. She is creative win her antics.
Mduduzi Mabaso and Brighton Ngoma
Ebile when she arrived, I thought she and Prosper were pulling a gimmick on us then I remembered their ordeal. Mara they should have stayed at home and watched TV though, I mean really now!
Performances
Makisto
You know I love getting my hands dirty so I took pictures the whole night and I was next to the stage.
Kelly Khumalo showing off her panties
So I got a pretty cool view of Kelly Khumalo’s panties. Akere her dress was designed to reveal her panties. It was a great performance and I am not referring to the music.
Tshidi and Lucia in the Big 5
Pruluv
My highlight of the night was the spectacular performance by the Big Five… not the animals man. It comprised of Tshidi, Wanda Baloyi, Kelly Khumalo, Lucia Mthiyane and the chick that used to be on Generations… eish her name is playing hide-and-seek with me.
The Big5 baaaaybeee
Daaaaaaym… I never knew that we had such talented vocalists in SA. We seriously need to see more of them… PLEASE!
