Bold and the Beautiful has won the International TV Audience Award in the Telenovela/Soap Opera category at this year's Monte Carlo TV Festival. This is the ninth consecutive year that the soapie has grabbed the award.
The Golden Nymph awards take place in Monte Carlo annually and the category is decided by the TV viewership ratings across the world - over five continents and 66 countries. The fact that Bold won the category means that it delivered the highest ratings of any telenovela or soapie round the world.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), the new Ridge! (Thorsten Kaye), Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Hope (Kim Matula) picked up the award with Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell - they accepted the award together, a Golden Nymph statue:
While the five of them soaked up the glory, Liam (Scott Cliftin) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) started work on a three-day location shoot in Paris. The soapie's filming a story arc in the city to celebrate the broadcast anniversary of Bold in France. It's aired in the country for 25 years.
Hope and Liam will be travelling to France too, to film scenes of their own.
