Big Break Legacy 3 calls for entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurial reality show Big Break Legacy returns to SABC2 in February, 2015 for Season 3 and the search for contestants is on.

In case you aren't familiar with the format ... the series follows 12 entrepreneur contestants who are tested on their character strength, creativity, aptitude and commercial savvy in handling business challenges under time and resource constraints.

A dramatic change to the new season is that there isn't one R5 million prize but four prizes: the winner will win a R2-million investment in their business and three runners-up will each receive R1-million in investment.

Another notable difference is that the season will be filmed in the Doctor Kenneth Kaunda District of the North West Province for the first time.

This from series creator Ezra Ndwandwe about the development:

The North West is open for business! It is a sleeping economic giant with the potential to be the next biggest economy in South Africa. We were drawn to it as an alternative location to showcase the impact of entrepreneurship and where the impact of our intervention can be seen and be experienced best by the locals.

Who is the series looking for?

Ndwandwe on the details:

What excites us is to find new entrepreneurs and businesses and to help them develop. We are not looking to fund established entrepreneurs and businesses. The development part, whether through experiential training, coaching or mentorship, is the space we are happy to play in and to create a credible deal pipeline for funders.

How to enter

There are three ways you can enter:

- Via SMS (BBL3 to 40244)
- Via a web form which can be found on www.thebigbreaklegacy.com
- Via video format - explaining your business through a one-minute elevator pitch which will be uploaded to The Big Break Legacy’s YouTube channel. (You'll see this as an option on the web entry form.)

Entries open today (9 October) and close on 29 October. Successful contestants will move into the house on 15 November.
