No, no, no, NO!!! Out of every season of Survivor I've NEVER seen anyone as mean, twisted and awful as Colton. He was so unbelievably appalling on last night's episode it's impossible to properly express the extent my anger and disdain other than to physically shake - which I'm doing right now. I'm trembling!!!
If I were Bill I would have punched him ... I would have
had to ... in those moments in their tent where Bill got aggro and moved in on Colton like that ... I don't know how he managed to hold himself back.
Bring back the Poison Dwarf - all is forgiven! Russell Hantz is a
saint in comparison. I never thought I'd say it but it's true because at least the Dwarf does his poisonous things as part of the game but Colton didn't. It was all so personal and targeted it was completely different from what Russell does.
Colton didn't once give a proper reason why he wanted to get rid of Bill - he called him "ghetto trash" and went on about his financial situation and that was supposedly his reason.
Utlimately he revealed that he's a racist, classist bully and to make the situation even more twisted - he seemed to enjoy it. His responses made things even more upsetting.... his response to his own attitudes and his sense of entitlement - how do you deal with someone like that?!!
I'm convinced Jeff was feeling the same at Tribal Council ... when he challenged Colton about his prejudice - you could see Jeff was struggling to cope with what he was hearing.
For completely different reasons to Tarzan who proved himself to be as much of a Mean Girl as Colton. Did you also think Tarzan wanted to criticise Jeff at Tribal Council when he said: "Colton's being made to look a certain way"?
Tarzan dodged the question when Jeff asked him who was making Colton look that way but I'm sure he was meaning Jeff. There was so much tension between them you could feel it through the screen. I spent a short moment wondering whether the show edited things and misrepresented Colton but quickly decided it isn't possible because we've seen and heard him being so appalling.
The scary thing is how he's managed to turn the rest of Manono into mean girls - the way Tarzan treated Leif was despicable too! He was a total bully when he scolded him like a child for telling Bill they were voting him out.
Bizarrely the only one of the tribe who's decent is schmodel Jay. I would never have thought it when the season started but he doesn't seem to be part of their alliance. Interestingly, he titled the episode which was called "Bum-Puzzled". Taken from the word he used when the Manono mean girls were deciding on whether or not to make the decision of going to a Tribal Council:
In a Twitter post Jay said that he didn't actually use that word but used the word "Bumfuzzled" instead - it's a Southern American slang term meaning to "confuse" or "fluster".
