The horrors on Survivor continue ... except this week there wasn't one but two demons!! Alicia was obviously going to betray the women and join Colton - their appalling smug smirks are exactly the same so it was a no-brainer when they ganged up. Which Monica should have known.
Monica who got hotter with each episode.
I'm crushed for her that she ended up being a Mean Girls victim but I don't understand how she could have trusted Alicia as she did. She's spent much more time with her than us and yet she totally missed that Alicia has such a mean streak. She should have seen it and should have done something to STOP it.
At least she agreed ... she was very gracious in her exit speech I thought, acknowledging her mistakes.
My only consolation through it all was that there's no ways either Colton or Alicia can win the show. Now that they're together they might make it further than if they were solo, but there's no ways they'll be victorious in the end. They just can't be after how they've behaved - the others will have to turn on them at some point.
Also, the tribe shuffle reduced Colton's power because of how useless and idiotic his new tribe is, especially now that they've voted out their only competitive hope. They're already a dismal pit of negativity and can only plunge further.
It's clear that the Salami's are going to kick their butts - which lessens my desperation and gives me hope.
The new tribes:
Manono |
Salani |
Alicia |
Chelsea |
Christina |
Jay |
Colton |
Kat |
Jonas |
Kim |
Leif |
Mike |
Monica |
Sabrina |
Tarzan |
Troyzan |
At first I was disappointed and iffy about the tribe swap because the women would have owned the men in the previous set-up. Then, once Alicia and Colton ended up together I decided that I don't mind it because there was no women's alliance to start with. It was all a lie - Alicia would have betrayed them - she was always going to.
Same thing with Jay and the men, except Jay's betraying them for the right reason i.e. because they're all such total Losers. I was happy with the way things went between him and Kim and her alliance with Chelsea and Sabrina. I worry a bit about Sabrina's role in the alliance though - Chelsea and Kim seem tighter and I don't want Jay pushing in as the third. I like him but not that much.
With Monica gone my ideal alliance is: Chelsea, Sabrina and Kim and I shall now support them wholeheartedly. I want Christina to join them if she makes it. I'm supporting Kim because of what Sabrina said about her ... when she said she wanted to be on a tribe with her. I've never paid Kim much attention but she's making of more impact.
Will this alliance be responsible for the destruction of Colton or will his tribe get rid of him first? I doubt it - they're all too pathetic so I reckon it's up to the girls. Whoever plunges in the knife will have my undying loyalty and support.
