Turns out he's been inspired by The King. I've just caught up with him, poked around for answers and he told me that he went to Graceland earlier this year - on a pilgrimage - as Elvis worshippers do annually. He was so inspired he decided to grow his hair as a tribute.
And a dude in Durban is responsible for it. Randall trims the sides to keep it in shape and then goes to Durban where a hairdresser cuts and shapes the top.
He's been growing it since January which means it isn't going anywhere soon.
The moral of the story: do
not go to hairdressers in Durban.
