Bob's chopped off leg ... let's talk about that for a bit.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. *
mad laugh like Ben did before he told the cannibals he was tainted meat .*
The new season of The Walking Dead's been so extreme and intense it's enough to make you flip your mind - much more brutal than previous seasons - even though it didn't seem possible for it to be. It's such a mirror of the real world. It really feels as if the world's getting more violent and brutal daily and the show's reflecting this so dramatically.
My all-time most insane-driving moment was Bob seeing Gareth chomping his tainted meat - it was pure and absolute madness!! Unfathomable ... how could anyone begin to process such a thing and remain sane?! I'm very sure no-one could.
Bob's death was heartwrenching ... he was so moving in the things he said - to Sasha and Rick espesh. Seeing our heroes become so brutal while killing the cannibals also messed with my heart - I didn't know what to feel about it - which we were obviously supposed to feel because Glenn and Maggie didn't know too.
Rick & Co. took on a similar brutality to the cannibals in the moment of killing them yet the cannibals deserved it - you could totally understand why they went so berserk when they killed them so does this make brutality acceptable? Can it be? Bob described Rick as a "good man" - was this the show saying it can be acceptable under certain circumstances?
Another question of the moment: what's happened to Carol? Why didn't she emerge from the trees with Daryl. At first I thought she was maimed or something but I've just found
this story on Entertainment Weekly which speculates that her and Daryl might have brought someone back with them.
They suggest it could be Maggie's sister Beth who I thought of during Monday's episode oddly enough. She was kidnapped so suddenly and it was ages ago - it's as if people have forgotten that she existed so it's definitely time for her to come back.
My fave quote of the episode:
"Come high noon, we're taillights."
- Sgt. Ford to Rick when Rick asked him and his group to stay to help them and Ford agreed to stay for half a day.
