Survivor: All hail Queen Kim

What bliss! The first Survivor episode of the season without Colton. The relief was everything I imagined it would be and more because of the girls and how kickbutt they were.

Kim was hysterical ... when she was luxuriating on the edge of the canoe, looking down at her minions Chelsea and Jay as they ran strategies by her - she's a stick insect queen of the place. She's obviously in charge and everyone knows it but no-one's said it.

The tribe merged and suddenly everyone was voting for Jonas and he knew he was doomed. Both Chelsea and Kim spoke about the reasoning behind voting for Jonas but according to Jonas it was Kim who was the true puppet master behind things.

In a post-elimination interview with xfinity, Jonas had this to say about his fate:

Holmes (the interviewer): Did you know your time was up heading into Tribal last night?
Jonas: Oh yeah. I totally knew. The second we merged I knew something was weird. My original alliance, Troy and Jay, they were acting very fishy.

Holmes: Were there any other moves you could have made at that point?
Jonas: No, because Jay and Troy were down numbers, they had jumped over to the girls. And I had zero relationship with Chelsea, Kat, and Kim. I did actually try to convince Kim and Chelsea, because I knew Kim was calling the shots, it was very obvious. So, I approached Kim and said, “Listen, I know you guys are trying to figure out if the guys are really with you.”

So I proposed they vote out Mike. That would have bought me some time to come up with another plan. Basically, I was playing Kim’s game and that’s why she sniffed me out. We were both flying under the radar. But even flying under the radar is actually being on somebody’s radar if they’re playing the same game as you.

Clearly both Jay and Troyzan are at Kim's mercy - even though Troyzan would never admit it now that he's screaming out embarrassing things like "This is my island!" because he happened to win a couple of challenges.

If he was really the player he thinks he is he wouldn't be cosying up to the Kim & Co. powerhouse because he'll be the first to go when there are only Salani's left. If he'd pulled together the men for an alliance they could have gotten rid of Kim and turned the tables.

Of course that would mean having an alliance with Tarzan which would SUCK. He hits new all-time lows with every minute of screen time - he must have lost patients surely? I just can't believe that he operates on people and that people let him. Think about it ... you're lying on a medical bed ready to go in for nose surgery and he's your doctor, standing above you with a scalpel. It's straight out of a horror movie!

I'm wondering what the Salami's are gonna do about him. He's no threat when it comes to challenges nor the jury so it wouldn't harm to keep him around but if you do you've got to deal with his poop-pants. What would you do?

I'd be dying to vote him out but I'd vote Mike out first and then get rid of him.

Thanks for the insights into Jonas's thoughts following elimination. This was quite a profound statement 'But even flying under the radar is actually being on somebody’s radar if they’re playing the same game as you.'

Yes Troyzan thinks he has it in the bag, but me sees a blindside a coming.
Alicia appeared to disappear into the woodwork - so unlikely she will get any comeuppance soon.
Christina was also under the radar so guess she's feeling safe with the girls for now.
She may not be one of my faves but kudos to Kat on the challenge. The girl does give it her all.
Tarzan may be socially awkward as he says, but am sure he is an intelligent man in real life - possibly with borderline Aspergers syndrome.

I still would like to know who would go to Tarzan to have plastic surgery done!?

Tarzan must be pretty intelligent as after all, you don't become a doctor if you're stupid, and he may very well be a good one.  But he's out of his normal environment and I don't think he's coping all that well.

Kim definitely seems to be in a very good position as she currently has two alliances on the go (the women and her tribe), which she hasn't yet had to choose between them.  Granted, the same could be said of Chelsea, Sabrina and Kat, but Kim also has an idol and does appear to be in more of a position of power than the others.

The laundry scene finished me *rofl*. The look on Chelsea's face was priceless, as was the excuse me while I go puke lol. I have to say the intelligence level on this season is reminiscent of pond scum. Seriously. I mean they tend to inform everyone of their alliances and who they gonna vote for. And people seem only too happy to vote off people who can get you further in the game??? Why were Jay and Troyzan so quick to abandon boys vs girls at 6 vs 6 especially when Christina and Alicia both show willingness to switch? Ek wieti rerag...
