What bliss! The first Survivor episode of the season without Colton. The relief was everything I imagined it would be and more because of the girls and how kickbutt they were.
Kim was hysterical ... when she was luxuriating on the edge of the canoe, looking down at her minions Chelsea and Jay as they ran strategies by her - she's a stick insect queen of the place. She's obviously in charge and everyone knows it but no-one's said it.
The tribe merged and suddenly everyone was voting for Jonas and he knew he was doomed. Both Chelsea and Kim spoke about the reasoning behind voting for Jonas but according to Jonas it was Kim who was the true puppet master behind things.
In a post-elimination interview with
xfinity, Jonas had this to say about his fate:
Holmes (the interviewer): Did you know your time was up heading into Tribal last night?
Jonas: Oh yeah. I totally knew. The second we merged I knew something was weird. My original alliance, Troy and Jay, they were acting very fishy.
Holmes: Were there any other moves you could have made at that point?
Jonas: No, because Jay and Troy were down numbers, they had jumped over to the girls. And I had zero relationship with Chelsea, Kat, and Kim. I did actually try to convince Kim and Chelsea, because I knew Kim was calling the shots, it was very obvious. So, I approached Kim and said, “Listen, I know you guys are trying to figure out if the guys are really with you.”
So I proposed they vote out Mike. That would have bought me some time to come up with another plan. Basically, I was playing Kim’s game and that’s why she sniffed me out. We were both flying under the radar. But even flying under the radar is actually being on somebody’s radar if they’re playing the same game as you.
Clearly both Jay and Troyzan are at Kim's mercy - even though Troyzan would never admit it now that he's screaming out embarrassing things like "This is
my island!" because he happened to win a couple of challenges.
If he was really the player he thinks he is he wouldn't be cosying up to the Kim & Co. powerhouse because he'll be the first to go when there are only Salani's left. If he'd pulled together the men for an alliance they could have gotten rid of Kim and turned the tables.
Of course that would mean having an alliance with Tarzan which would SUCK. He hits new all-time lows with every minute of screen time - he must have lost patients surely? I just can't believe that he operates on people and that people let him. Think about it ... you're lying on a medical bed ready to go in for nose surgery and he's your doctor, standing above you with a scalpel. It's straight out of a horror movie!
I'm wondering what the Salami's are gonna do about him. He's no threat when it comes to challenges nor the jury so it wouldn't harm to keep him around but if you do you've got to deal with his poop-pants. What would you do?
I'd be
dying to vote him out but I'd vote Mike out first and then get rid of him.
