What a finish! A snivelling, grovelling Alicia apologising for being such a Pig, an ashamed Colton forced into saying he's sorry and a very deserving win by Kim - it was all purrfectly karmic.
I don't think there's ever been such a feel good Survivor finale. Things couldn't have worked out more ideally. Last week I would have been happy with a win by Kim, Chelsea or Sabrina but that changed this week. As things unfolded I found myself rooting for Kim more and more and by the final Tribal Council I was 100% on her side because of her decision to take Sabrina and Chelsea to the end.
It was the most honourable decision to make and she made it without hesitation. You could see she didn't have a moment's doubt about it even though she pretended she did. Her final confessionals to us were revealing - espesh what she said about her divorce and her difficult marriage.
It made her more impressive I thought - to be so mentally strong after going through that. Her drive and determination was obviously a direct attack on her problem ex-husband so it was super to see the jury rewarding her for it.
I was surprised and pleased when everyone dropped their bitterness like they did to acknowledge Kim's strategy - the jury hardly ever do this so I wasn't expecting it at all. I was convinced Kat was going to have issues with Kim and was very surprised when she forgave her like that during her preachy speech.
What I
wasn't surprised by was Troyzan nose nuzzling her - ha! I told you there was something between them ...
at Ponderosa when Troyzan sat watching her get dressed for Tribal Council. From the looks of things they didn't acknowledge it to anyone because Jeff would have asked them about it if they had.
From what Jonas had to say the rest of the guys all wanted to nose nuzzle Chelsea as the Hottest Chick of the Season - which they got wrong. Throughout the finale I suddenly realised how hott Christina is. It was bizarre - I've never noticed before because of what a non-entity she's been but suddenly she was the hottest, especially in her final moments at Tribal Council.
The season really lived up to it's name don't you think? One World. Everyone united at the end.
Fave finale quotes:
"I'm a sales person, I get paid to get rejected every day." - Christina
"This is all I'm gonna say tonight ... 'I know I lied to you and voted you out but I have no boobs left so have a little mercy.'" - Kim
The Injured on Phillippines
I was very concerned that Colton's going to be back next season as one of the three injured Survivors who are returning but thankfully he isn't. The trouble is he's going be back in the future - he returns in Season 27. We'll have to deal with it when it arrives but right now we don't have to worry because these are the three who'll return:
