I'm 2nd Congrats to the legacy once again

Generations improved only by 33,000 from week 11, while Muvhango improved by 99,000. Therefore Muvhango's viewership growth rate is faster than of Generations. This leads to my prediction that by June/July 2015, Muvhango will replace Generations as the top rated show.

Heeee banna!!!!!! Haw acurate r these mara????? Generations stil n top????? Ashes..........

Show-Time
25 Mar 2015 18:55

Scandal gained 198,000 viewers from week 11. Which means it will remain the leaders of etv for a long time, not even the hype of Ashes to Ashes could make much of a difference.

Muvhango is chasing Generations nicely ,while I don't think they will beat generations at least the show is worth watching .ashes2ashes keeps disappointing ,it drops each week that passes which means that's a wrong timeslot for them even scandal which is one of the best productions in SA failed to do .We should give bigs ups to Tempy Pushas the numbers speak for themselves .great show indeed.I think its time sabc canns isidingo .its time has passed ,the numbers don't look good at all

max85
25 Mar 2015 20:16

Ashes2ashes and umlilo have so much hype on twitter n facebook but their numbers are low .which means media buzz does not equal big vierwership .they should move ashes2ashes to 20h30 and move up the news .the show will do better at least bt not better than scandal

Whatever is being said on the media or social networks has little bearing. At the end of the day, viewers make their own choices.

Max that's true indeed media buzz. Dsnt equal vierwership. Trendind all day n night dsnt equal viewership evn bashing generations on their pages all day n night won't win u viewershp. Big up Generations, muvhango, uzalo, skeem saam n scandal. Big up indeed

max85 no way should Isidingo be cancelled. Instead it should be moved to 21:30. That for me is a suitable timeslot for a show with an impressive production, good cast and a rich history. Generations is still fragile and with the rate that Muvhango is going, I think it's only a matter of time. I think any show that has built a loyal following throughout the years at a particular timeslot, like Generations, wont be easily shaken. It has lost 2 million viewers but maintained over 5 million avid fans. Interesting though, from 2006 to 2011, it averaged about 4 million viewers. And that was at the time when I was enjoying the soap a lot.

Bebecinga ntoni ngokwenza uMasingcwabane bona na?? We wanted class like they were in Generations!! Bamuncu maan!!

26 Mar 2015 08:39

Show-time I must admit I do love isidingo but this numbers are not good for them .they need a better time slot indeed .with Generation ,I am loving it but Mfundi needs to bring in a powerful family with strong well knwn actors .the numbers will go up 7mil again .it won't be a bad idea to bring back dlomo n Ntombi khumalo .that will take de industry by surprise .etv needs to work harder if their aim is to bring down SABC 1 .muvhango really impressed all of us with the Busi and Professor storyline ,people really wanted this and the proof shows ,they tuned in number .congratulations to Mr Duma Ndlovu .even though u always get snubbed at dis award shows u continue to work hard .

I want old chatacters of Generations that left about a decade ago to return, the likes of Vivian Majozi, Sarah-Lee, Sonny Jacobs, Khensani Moroka, Terrence Moroka, Shaan Naidoo, Mattie and Lerato. Those are familiar characters that could boost the Legacy.

26 Mar 2015 09:33

Indeed Muvhango is slowly chasing Generations a pity the story line is detoriarating though. the only nteresting thing was the proffessor and Busi story but the way it ended seems the same way as the Dr Mongezi story...... bleh

Uzalo started with 5 mil now going down. Im not suprised the strory is too slow its like they have the whole year. I stopped watching last week and like the beggining there was still no improvement, the choir still cant sing, Mxo and Ayanda still have fitting in issues with their families............ bleh

People are still dedicated to Jika ma Jika? tjoooo!

SABC 3 needs to re evaluate their existence, they still even play Dalas hai no wonder they are doing soo poorly.

SABC 2 is neglecting Afro-Cafe, the show has soo much potential but they insist on putting it in the wrong time slot. Late during the week and repeats very late and Sat. They should treat that show like the Live Amp of SABC 2

Sad to see Ashes going down in numbers, it will be very hard to bring them up again. They do have themselves to blame on the poor production, even Scandal as good as it is the quality is bad. RC slowly coming up, Isidingo yona there is no hope!

The Mzansi showes are in their own league, we cant really compare them with the "free channels" otherwise they would do so much better.

Show-Time
26 Mar 2015 11:08

There is hope for Isidingo as it has been in this predicament before. SABC3 must introspect and find a better, permanent slot.

max85
26 Mar 2015 11:27

Ms opinionated I agree with u on afro cafe ,the show is amazing but its on too late .we wud love to catch those performaces but we just fall asleep b4 the show even starts .sabc 2 made a mistake by putting Gospel time at 18h00 ,it was fine at 20:00 .most people used to tune in that time .sometimes scheduling kills shows.sabc 3 really ,wat can we say about this channel .it is so out of touch with reality ,they killed Noleen's show with their ridiculous time slot changes .now they don't even commission new shows anymore.

Ms Opinionated
26 Mar 2015 15:45

@max85 very true even with Gospel time, wrong timing just like they did with Mostwako.
