I take it everyone was too shy to watch Bdsm Generations, that's why Uzalo topped the ratings last week right? And this week you're experts?
Well look, Mfundi wasn't bothered about second place because he's been winning for so long he's bored. He reclaimed his post this week though, while Uzalo followed, so don't count your chickens while you don't even have eggs.
Anyway competition is healthy, the Generations crew have come back harder and madder. I'm just bothered by Isidingo being beaten by the Forresters. I'd watch Isidingo over Rhythm City any day, I don't switch loyalties that easily.
The only way Isidingo can make it to top 10 is if they claim the 6pm slot and they'd have to switch channels. As a Deep fan I know my strengths and weaknesses, I can't be competing with David Genaro while I'm losing Frank and Priya, and who knows who's next? Even the rise of Nina Zamdela, miss "Swarma" and Angelique hasn't made a difference.
And can you just stop playing these weird songs between scenes, find better songs please! Well done to Sechaba Moloi who's a trainee director, perhaps when he takes charge completely, things will improve.
People want real stories they can relate to, if you look at Skeem Saam, Uzalo, Scandal, Matatiele and Muvhango you get a sense of a new South African way of story telling on the horizon "see what I did there?".
Well done to 7de Laan for finally not being afraid to change, change is good, look at Generations Legacy, did a 360 and they're still number one. And I take it the only reason Moferefere Lenyalong is 2nd place on the brother channel is because people are still talking about Muvhango and they forgot to switch channels for 30 minutes. Or they don't have Dstv? "Yea, brother channel not sister".
Another tip for the Deepers is to place your show after the best. It works every time, just ask"Moferefere Lenyalong", then nobody cares about bad lighting, terrible actors, bad makeup etc.
With a few exceptions...
