Renewed!
TVSA can confirm that Nicky Greenwall's celebrity interview series The Close Up has been renewed by e.tv. It returns in spring for Season 5 with a spotlight on 13 personalities.
It takes over from Hush when the current season ends and premieres on Thursday, 19 November at 18h00.
The season starts with Kelly Khumalo who expresses her point of view on what it's like to be regarded as a celebrity villain. She's going to share her life story and will also dish the details of her controversial relationships.
Nonhle Thema will also spill the details of her villainess past by speaking about her 2011 Twitter meltdown that sparked her Boom bomb status. She's been very hush-hush about it over the years and has obviously come to the decision that it's better to speak about it than to leave it to everyone's imagination.
Others in the line-up include DJ Sbu (
sipping an energy drink), Expresso's Katlego Maboe, iFani and Sade Giliberti, who speaks about her sexuality, her depression and her troubled relationship with her absent mother.
Here's a gallery of close up pics of all of the personalities in the season (missing: iFani), snapped by Nicky's photographer husband Robin Fryer:

way in advance that the series has been renewed for a sixth season for 2016.
