Warning! If you're going to watch the delayed broadcast of the MTV Video Music Awards tonight (at 20h00 on MTV) and don't want to be spoiled before watching, please don't read on.

If you do want to know who won, keep going...

The 32nd MTV Awards were held at the Microsoft Theatre in LA on Sunday (30 August) and were hosted by Miley Cyrus who put an exclamation mark on proceedings by arriving in this pair of dungarees...

Nicki Minaj opened the show perched on a throne of back-up dancers and was later joined by Taylor Swift, who emerged from below the stage to join her. The move was intended to be a symbolic display that marked the end of their long-winded Twitter spat about who was nominated and who wasn't.

While the two of them made up, Nicki started a new "beef" with Miley by referring to her as "bitch" and Kanye West made his future intentions known, stating that he plans to run for the presidency in 2020.

Kanye was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard lifetime award and delivered a 13-minute speech in which he spoke about his life, work and his tempestuous relationship with award shows.

He ended his speech by announcing his presidential aspirations, which left us deeply traumatised at the thought of Kim Kardashian as First Lady.
