the story on city press is said to be untrue... according to tv plus Gail(Sarah)is just a surpoting character for now she is not in for long term and for Now she won't be given any commanding role..simphiwe is no longer part of legacy bt she can be used in future by bringing her back...I think gadaffi is still leaving the show I read somewhere dt he is still going to shoot the exit scenes+he said it false dt he made u-turn

Yesteday on Umhlobo wenene radio,, Siphiwe was there,, shame mann she told Luks tht she is leaving Generations tht was her last episode shooting on Thursday,, ,, they asked her why????,, she said the contract is finished and when the writer does not have anything to write abt u or you must exit the show ,, tht was sad bathong yoo, she said she had a 6 year old Boy.. and a partner not sure if she is married . The part i laughed at is when Luks asked her ,, how is Mazwi 's kissing rate,, she said 6/10. krkrkr

Me too! A gangster Tau is more entertaining than the one who is being controlled by Karabo. I liked when he told her, "Everything I've put you through, you've paid me in full, trust me". That is the Tau I loved years ago. Yesterday's episode was enjoyable. Even Smanga got his kiss from Simphiwe.

The infidelity storylines are being overdone now. How is it possible that Tshidi could still be sleeping with other men for accounts yet she was calling for Gadaffi to respect her and their marriage? Mazwi's affair started way before Karabo's but her secret got exposed while Mazwi's is dragging on.

@qavile, Siya came before Zola and he has his own business which is doing business with Ezweni Communications. So I do not think the character of Siya depends on Zola's story. As for Vuyo, I do not know whether or not the character relies on Zola to survive. But since it is said that Vuyo has his own ambitions, I am guessing he too can carry his own storyline.

@qavile, I don't believe that story would work because Karabo had never mentioned that she had a child prior to her first marriage with Mandla Sithole. She broke up with Zola before Zola had Siya as his first son and Karabo never dated him after he got married. So I suppose that story would raise a lot of questions that might be difficult to answer. I might not know what the writers and producers have planned, but I still maintain that Siya and Vuyo can carry the stories without Zola. Similarly with Angela Mogale and Tau.

@max85 she owns a SAFTA already. No doubt she is brilliant. She even speaks tsotsi taal like a pro. Tonight I was impressed but not surprised. In thr character, Lucy and Tau's alliance will be strong. I hope it will remain even after they defeat Gadaffi. The thought of Lucy being Tau's right-hand woman in organized crime excites me. I hope the mobster Tau wont change from here on coz Jack is around the corner.

I doubt the sudden changes have anything to do with the channel since the numbers are good and the programme dominates the 8 PM slot. I reckon the producers decided to take a different direction knowing that etv will be applying more pressure with the return of A2A and other serials to follow. Perhaps Jack Mabaso might return with a family of his own. And who are the other familiar faces?

A statement released by the show confirms that the starlet, noted for her portrayal of Angela Mogale, will depart the SABC 1 primetime show.

Kabelo Moalusi, who plays Mthunzi’s on-screen boyfriend Siya Radebe will also leave the show, according to the statement.

"We've had the pleasure of witnessing Lebogang's growth, not only as an actress but an overall performer. We wish her all the best with her future prospects and we trust she will flourish in her plans," Generations publicist Gaaratwe Mokhethi said.

"Lebohang and Kabelo have played a pivotal role in sharpening Generations: The Legacy into compelling entertainment," Generations show-runner Mfundi Vundla added

It’s been a year since the show underwent its controversial revamp that saw a large number of fan favourites getting fired and the introduction of fresh-faced actors on the show.

Furthermore, the statement explains that the show is at a point where it has a firm idea of where the storyline is heading and which characters to grow.

In the last few weeks, the show has announced the departure of Asanda Foji, Denise Zimba and Mutodi Neshehe.

With that dubious storyline and if some are to come, definitely Gen will lose their strong claim of the 8 PM slot to etv shows. I don't understand why they are dragging that heinous storyline. i think Generations actors are unprofessional, hardly a year they have fired so many people. Nkuli has already been fired. u cannot make stars overnight babe mvundla. u should have given these kids a chance to improve themselves. some have been improving already but u decided to let them go. Mr Mfundi should take a leaf from Duma KaNdlovu who is able to nurture raw talent into a superstar.

Come on, FLYINGBIRD. Vundla has nurtured raw talent over 2 decades. I don't have to count how many, I'm sure you know them. But then again, there is no longer any time to develop raw talent because the 8 PM slot has now become extremely competitive with etv finally having the courage to compete against Generations after last year's debacle. Duma Ndlovu's show, on the other hand, is not experiencing that. Now it is survival of the fittest in the primetime battle and hence priorities are changing.

Furthermore, those actors were not let go because of their performance but rather due to the change in storyline. As it was explained by the publicist. By the way, the whole Mojalefa storyline on Muvhango is reported to be scrapped. So I guess it goes with the territory in the TV industry.

i might not be privy as to why exactly the actors are leaving but i just read a story that they have been fired for underperforming, hence my reason that they should have been given a chance coz some of us have learnt to love these characters. Then again, like u said, its the survival of the fittest as some sopies has threw a challenge to the 8pm slot. itz gonna be choose my khethela. lol. i think am enjoying the competition.

#50ShadesOfMorokaMustFall Phiwe is too nervous to act this part maybe that's why she is not performing to her best ability, maybe nolwazi could have done it like a pro she is, the story between her and mazwi is getting to me, very boring. Generations is still a mess just like the time it started, I still don't see the moral of the story and characters are leaving the show, it's going to be a very LOOOOOOOOONG Wait for Gen to Shape up. Vundla is getting old or dumber by the minute.

It would be great if Lucy would not exaggerates!!! , she repeats her other words too much for my liking , and doesn't flow in her lines, her body language and what she says doesn't click, and as for the " Ehhh" in between ...total turn off, it's like she forgets her lines and try to recover......or maybe she is pushing herself too hard.....there is something wrong, it's like she is performing on live stage theater ........ #justsaying. I think Akhona would've nailed it , her tsotsi taal and acting was on point...But on top of all that said, I like Lucy and hope she will improve as gen unfolds.

@Clalico, Akhona was speaking more Afrikaans than tsotsitaal. Lucy speaks real kasi language that we speak in the townships. Words like jampas, Skhokho, majita, hola, eita etc. She portrays a Mshoza well. She just perfects tsotsitaal. Only problem for me is that she is too loud. When she speaks with Cosmo, you can here that raw tsotsitaal.

The Smanga/Simphiwe storyline is a total flop no doubt, but as to the story revolving around Tau and Gadaffi its very interesting. To say the show is a mess is an exaggeration to me. I can't wait to see how Jack Mabaso's family will be included into the show.

Lol, Tshidi getting full control of #hashtag WORLD is a disaster. She run the company into the ground in no time, that is if she doesn't put it in the hands of someone else like Tau.
