Entertainment channel BET undergoes a much needed shakeover in December when it extends to other DStv bouquets.
From Tuesday, 1 December, the channel will be available to Extra and Compact subscribers and the defunct BET2 channel, which has served no purpose whatsoever, will be dumped to the sidelines. Ousted and removed.
The changes will be punctuated with the premieres of new seasons of various shows on BET, including Season 4 of Real Husbands of Hollywood, Season 3 of Being Mary Jane and new episodes of The Wendy Williams Show.
Other titles in the line-up for the month include Punk’d, The BET Life of… and reality shows DeSean Jackson, Blood, Sweat and Heels and Frankie and Neffe.
There's also going to be a new Saturday night movie slot starting with an Eddie Murphy festival through December.
Word from BET is that the channel will be extending their current local programming. They've produced two local shows so far: the celebertainment show BET Buzz and the acting reality search Top Actor, which returns for Season 2 next year.
They have a two-part documentary on David Tlale scheduled for December and will be commissioning other local shows in 2016.
The channel remains on 129.
