Go Cochran!!! It crushes me to agree with Phillip but he was correcto when he called him a class act because he is.
He did everything purrrfectly and proved that he's the Ultimate Survivor Fan. His final strategic decisions were master strokes and his destruction of Eddie delivered the best moments of the season. Ha! It was pure bliss seeing him whacked at the final hurdle and Cochran's brilliant answers at the final Tribal were the best we've heard from anyone.
They also delivered welcome light relief in contrast to the gaping horror that struck proceedings.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah - it was truly
the most terrible thing we've been put through during a final Tribal Council. EVER.
I knew that Brenda had been hurt by Dawn but I didn't realise the full extent until Dawn went berserk. Her grimace was literally a physical manifestation of Brenda's pain and humiliation and also exposed Dawn's LIE that she would have stayed on the show without her choppers because we all know that it's the furthest thing from the truth.
What's bizarre is that everyone always goes on about how people shouldn't take things personally on Survivor and yet it's clear that both the jury and audiences took things very personally on behalf of Brenda.
It raises mindbending questions like: why was their relationship different to other situations where someone's been betrayed? Did Dawn owe Brenda? Dawn's real loyalty lay with Cochran so what was wrong with her sticking to her alliance? Where do you draw the line??
The real clincher must have been Dawn's horrible lie. She would never have won the show but would have avoided the intense hatred if she'd admitted that Brenda saved her, thanked her and apologised for betraying her.
Maybe they could have mended some bridges, which they won't now - NO way. Brenda only said they're friends again to make Jeff happy but you could see it's never gonna happen.
You could also see that Malcolm spends too much time blow drying his hair because the ends are dry. His stint on Bold was hysterical - it's no surprise that they've never invited back.
Speaking of cringe... I was pleased to see that the Reunion Show ditched all the losers from proceedings and only focused on the jury. It always gets too embarrassing when Jeff tries to muster up enthusiasm for people no-one remembers.
Much better to focus on those we do and those who've become legends, like awesome Boston Rob and now Cochran who deserves legend status too.
