Brooke returns from Italy and pays a visit to Deacon to discuss Hope and to catch up on what’s been going on since she left. Maya is ready to celebrate when Rick informs her that he had divorce papers drawn up for Caroline to sign.
Ridge becomes angered when Caroline fills him in on Rick’s earlier behaviour towards her and Ivy. Brooke and Quinn do not see eye-to-eye regarding the way Hope is treating Wyatt. Liam and Ivy take their relationship to the next level.

Episode 38 (7001)
Rick’s reaction to seeing Ridge and Caroline kissing in the office causes great concern for everyone in the vicinity. Ridge confronts Rick regarding a particular term he keeps using in reference to Caroline.
Maya is put in an uncomfortable position while being forced to explain what has been going on between her and Rick when Brooke arrives at the Forrester mansion. Having taken their relationship to the next level, Liam and Ivy reminisce about what led them to this point in their relationship.

Having fought tooth and nail for her marriage, Caroline receives a harsh realization that it’s time for her to move on when she is presented with a definite sign. Brooke becomes suspicious of the ulterior motives behind Maya’s request for support of her and Rick’s relationship.
Rick’s flippant explanation of the event which occurred at the office gives Brooke and Maya a cause for concern about his current state of mind. Fearful for themselves and the company, Ridge and Caroline plot to get Rick out his position of power.

Having heard that Brooke was back in town, Bill pays her a visit expecting answers about why she completely cut him out of her life after all that they’ve been through. Quinn confesses a concern to Deacon about Brooke returning to Los Angeles single and possibly setting her sights on him.
Katie returns to work at Spencer Publications in her new position as vice president. Brooke is blindsided by bittersweet news regarding a former flame.

When word gets out about Rick’s tyrannical behavior at Forrester Creations, Bill and Liam discuss the great need for Rick to be knocked off of his high horse.
Due to his most recent antics, Ridge and Caroline threaten Rick with legal action if he does not step down from his position as CEO. Knowing the battle that has been transpiring within the company, Brooke attempts to play mediator between Rick and Ridge.

Ridge and Caroline are disappointed when Brooke defends Rick’s actions and instructs them to respect his position of authority. Caroline gets the opportunity to tell Brooke her side of the story concerning Rick.
Bill and Liam conspire about the best way to exact revenge upon Rick for his poor treatment of Caroline, Ivy and the employees at Forrester Creations. Liam reaches out to the one person who he thinks would be able to assist him in his plan against Rick.

Brooke shocks everyone in the room when she demands that Rick forgive Caroline so that they may piece their marriage back together. Bill tells Katie about his visit with Brooke and makes his intentions regarding the direction of his future very clear.
The bond between Liam and Steffy resurfaces as they discuss the possibility of her assisting him with his plan against Rick. Maya confronts Brooke about the hostility that she is feeling from her.

Brooke voices her disapproval of Caroline’s relationship with Ridge and informs her about the one thing that will always be an obstacle for them. Caroline is caught off guard when Brooke asks how far her relationship with Ridge has gone.
Ivy is taken aback when she arrives at Liam’s to find him with Steffy and notices the closeness between them. Katie insists that she be the one to deliver the news to Brooke about her and Bill.

Liam updates Bill on the plan against Rick and discusses the possible ramifications and collateral damage if their idea is successful. Caroline finds herself in an awkward situation when Steffy puts her foot down regarding her relationship with Ridge.
Wyatt returns home from Italy after making a last-ditch effort to save his marriage. His homecoming is bittersweet for Quinn as he blames her for him coming home empty-handed. Brooke makes her feelings very clear to Ridge regarding his association with Caroline.

When Steffy confronts him about his relationship with Caroline, Ridge is forced to defend himself and his feelings. Steffy reveals what is really behind her recent animosity towards Ridge. Upon his return to work, Wyatt is met with the wrath of Rick who gives him a difficult time for unexcused absence from the company.
Having heard about Wyatt’s encounter at Forrester Creations, Liam and Bill include him in their plan to teach Rick a lesson. Caroline worries that Steffy’s presence could cause a problem for her and Ridge’s attempt to be together.

Excited to share his new passion, which she inspired, Ridge invites Caroline to his new home for a memorable evening. When Maya questions Rick about his romantic past, he relives for her the story about his tumultuous relationship with Amber.
Brooke turns to Deacon as a friend and tells him about her plan to ensure Ridge and Caroline do not last. Quinn is less than thrilled to find Deacon alone with his ex-lover, Brooke. When Steffy unloads her anger against all that is going on at Forrester Creations, Liam makes another attempt to get her on board with his plan.

Following Liam’s reaction to her confession, Steffy instructs Liam that there is only one way that she will go along with his plan against Rick. Rick and Maya play puppet master with Aly, giving her false hope of green lighting her proposed collection.
Ivy becomes fed up with the poor treatment that she and Aly have been receiving at home from Rick and Maya. Ridge assists Caroline in moving on from her marriage in a very romantic and artistic manner.

With the partial intention of putting Caroline in her place, Brooke lets Donna in on her plan to steal Ridge back. Wyatt takes one for the Spencer team when he returns to Forrester Creations to ask Rick for his job back and is forced to grovel.
Having invited Ridge over for a discussion, Brooke uses her feminine wiles in an attempt to lure him back into her life. Concerned for his cousin’s wellbeing, Liam lays out for Caroline the many reasons why she should not pursue a relationship with Ridge.

Realizing that she is feeling insecure in their relationship now that Brooke is back in town, Deacon assures Quinn that she is the only woman for him. When Caroline overhears Donna telling Pam about Brooke’s plan to win Ridge back, she assures them that her relationship will persevere.
Donna and Pam warn Caroline that Brooke and Ridge always end up together. As Brooke is attempting to work her magic on Ridge, he makes a heartfelt confession to her about his feelings.

Wanting to see firsthand all of the changes she’s been hearing about at Forrester Creations, Steffy pays an unannounced visit to Rick. The visit becomes tense when Steffy voices her disapproval of the way Rick is running the company.
Brooke grows concerned about the direction of her future as she reminisces about the people from her past. Still unsure about where Deacon’s heart really lies, Quinn confronts him about his feelings for Brooke. Ivy has mixed feelings about Liam’s plan to take over Forrester Creations.

Wyatt is in disbelief about the way he is spending Valentine’s Day and who he is spending it with in comparison to who he really wants to spend it with. Quinn gives Wyatt a cause for concern about her and Deacon’s relationship.
Brooke and Deacon have a candid conversation about their lives over a couple of cocktails. Bill encourages Liam to take Steffy up on her counteroffer to participate in their plan. When Ivy encourages her to join forces with Liam to take Rick down, Steffy reveals her not-so-hidden agenda.
