One girl, two guys: how Gen' is getting it right

We asked for it last year and now Generations is making it happen.

The soapie's leading the charge against the sexist portrayal of polygamy that happens on shows around the world. For the first time in South African TV history, a character wants to be married to two men at the same time and she's fighting for the freedom to do it.

Karabo wants to marry Zola but she doesn't want to divorce Tau and her revelations are creating fireworks. It's not easy for her - going against social convention never is - but she's fighting the fight and she's doing her best.

Personally I wouldn't bother marrying Zola no matter how I felt about him because it would be much easier to simply keep him as a boyfriend. It's also much easier to break up with him if she needs to! Still, if it's wedding bells she wants then she needs the right to have them.

Overall it's an excellent storyline - bring on more in 2016!

That storyline is causing quite a stir. Lol, some viewers fearfully believe that it will spark a debate in reality about polyandry in the country.

The debate has already started @show-time, I couldn't be more proud than I already am of generations right now.
