They hit a home run for Mzansi Magic with Rockville and now Ferguson Films are at the helm of a new Sunday night drama called Igazi.
It premieres on Mzansi Magic this Sunday (10 April) at 20h00 and takes viewers into two worlds: Joziburg and the valley hills beyond Cofi Bay in the Eastern Cape.
Described as a tale of magic, myth and melodrama, the story centres round a Xhosa royal family in conflict over its throne. As the family is at war with itself and magical forces of darkness, a man is forced into the battle for his father’s kingdom. He has to overcome his own demons and accept his destiny. The path ahead is filled with complications that lead to the question: will the rightful king reign?
The series stars Anga Makubalo (as Bantu, the lead character), Nomhle Nkonyeni, Jet Novuka, Allen Booi, Peter Se-Phuma, Zandile Msutwana, Thami Mngqolo, Oros Mampofu, Charmaine Mtinta, Zikhona Sodlaka, Zenande Mfeyana, Vatiswa Ndara, Mnatha Vika and Talitha Ndima.
