You've been asking about her and today we're pleased to bring you the hott gosssss on a character who's been waiting in the wings of Generations for too long: Nandi. Sphe and Fana's mother and Jack's wife. She's been spoken about for ages but there's been no sign of her. Until now.
She makes her debut in November and will be played by an actress who's a new face to our screens because of her success in theatre. Lion King star Brenda Mhlongo will bring Nandi to life now that she's back in South Africa after travelling the world with the stage show.
Brenda played the role of the baboon shaman narrator Rafiki in productions round the world, including Spain, Germany and on Broadway. Rafiki opens the show with the popular song Circle of Life so it's an extremely notable role.
Brenda's acting career started when she was 16 when she joined a theatre company in KwaMashu where she grew up. She stayed with them for 11 years before leaving to see the world, starting with Hong Kong. She moved from Hong Kong to Germany and landed the role of Rafiki on Broadway two years after leaving our shores.
To get in the mood for her Gen arrival, take a listen to her voice here:
