I've always been thrilled by honesty. What it is and how to find it and how you feel when you know that someone's telling it to you straight.
This is one of the many reasons that I'm such a Survivor nut because it's about the truth versus lies and the complex wavelengths in between. Monday's episode highlighted it bigtime by uncovering the most honest Survivors in the game.
They are:
1. Tony
What a hooot! I never thought I'd like him with that inflated, puffed up body of his but all that changed on Monday because he's hysterical. He's defs the most honest of them by far. Not to police officer Sarah and her naive Blue Blood delusions of course, but to us.
He sees us as his confidante and treats us like one, which has always been one of my fave qualities in any reality contestant. I can never understand why contestants don't do it more on every show. I swear on my badge that he's telling us the truth.
And that he would be 100% loyal to Sarah in a real world context beyond the show. Right now he's doing exactly what he needs to do by adapting his truth-o-meter to the context of the game.
2. Sarah
She's deluded because she believes Tony but she's also very honest with both him and us, which is a problem for her. She has no division between the game and the real world and doesn't realise that she's the one who keeps swearing on her badge when he hasn't.
She did work out that he was a cop as soon as she met him though which suggests she knows her stuff as a police officer. I suspect it's only a matter of time before something alerts her to Tony's skulduggery.
3. Tasha
She's so honest she wants everyone to know that she wants to backstab and lie and she's managed to express this to everyone without weakening her position in the slightest. It's just a pity that her handling of a bucket of water isn't as impressive as her attitude, ha!
The fact that the nerds practiced for the Immunity challenge and their resulting clumsy performance was classic - I've never whooped so loudly to see a tribe win.
As for the rest of them... I considered these other contenders for the list but they lost out for various reasons:
LG: He seems to be 100% honest with us but there's a barrier that's difficult to break through because he knows he's good looking.
J'Tia: She isn't hiding anything but she's always in such a bedraggled, panic-stricken state that it's impossible for her to see things straight.
Spencer: He trusted the Ken doll Garrett which means he's too desperate to see the truth let alone share it with us.
Kass: She's too shy to be totally upfront with us. If she were, she'd go redder than the reddest beetroot in the world.
Brice: He had the potential to share a lot with us once he got more comfy - a major reason he got whacked obviously.
Catch my Survivor ramblings every week after the show.
